BHO's Historic Spending Binge...

Look at you!! Agreeing with yourself. Now,if you'll remove your hand from your back, I'll pat it for you,

The sad thing is that in his mind, he's actually winning this argument. You could line up point by point every single problem with his post, cite experts, show economic theory that proves him wrong, point to specific examples and his next post would be "so are you planning on addressing the OP?" Actually, I guess that's already happened, so there you have it.

This may come as a shock to you, but neither you nor the Leftwich character iis an expert. FWIW, you're the one who is consumed with the idea of winning. I prefer to promote a balanced assessment of President's performance.

Satchel, in the interest of balance -- is there anything that Obama has done with which you disagree?

In the interest of balance, I think it was great that he awarded George Bush the Medal of Freedom.

We should go back further then Bush's last and Obama's first. Go Back to where the spike really started with the budgets being approved by the Democrtically controlled Congress of 2006.

Or go back to 2002-2006 when republicans controlled the congress and the white house. I would expect to see major declines in spending during those years, because republicans were in control.

1) Told the Seals yes
2) Awarded the Medal of Freedom to GHWB
3) Left Robert Gates as his first Sec of Defense
4) Seems like a good dad/hsuband

Hey Chango, from 2001 to 2007 the debt per year was between $500B-$600B.

In 2008 and 2009 the debt was over $1.5T and has continued in that range since. What was the difference?

Bush had to restructure Government and hunt down some terroists, that's his excuse. What is Obama's?

Apparently Nutting got his info from a chart that Nancy Pelosi drew. Perhaps it was a real chart, perhaps it was written on a cocktail napkin. Whichever, it is another example of being able to fool some of the people ALL of the time. You tell a lie often enough and some people will begin to believe it. Others don't care if it is a lie as long as it proves their point. I believe BO pointed this out to Jeremiah Wright when he said that JW had to tell the truth from the pulpit, but he didn't. Don't know much about Market Watch, the website this Nutting idiot wrote the analysis for, but if they ever had an ounce of credibility in the financial world, they don't have it anymore.

How did such a flawed, easily-debunked "analysis" ever make it past the editor?

Embarrassing.

Also embarrassing is how the doofuses from the Obama Administration were citing it and bragging about it today and yesterday.

Stachel:

Shinertx:

Satchel: Yes. Bunches.
Staying with the balance theme, is there anything Obama has done with which you agree?

Shinertx: 1) Told the Seals yes
2) Awarded the Medal of Freedom to GHWB
3) Left Robert Gates as his first Sec of Defense
4) Seems like a good dad/hsuband

Ok Satch, Shinter answered your question, even though he asked you first. Are you going to return the favor?

Not defending Obama's spending, and I disagree with most of it. I just don't think the Republicans will do anything different. I'd love for them to prove me wrong if they're given a chance.

The one non-stupid idea that I thought that Jimmy Carter had as President was proposing zero based budgeting. Every government agency would start from zero when building a budget every year, instead of tacking x% onto last year's budget. Of course, it wouldn't have worked without tremendous supervision from outside auditors, but it's a thought.

My ***. Prodigal is a world class torturer. I'll just await the rebuttal of the WAPO analysis that is sure to come and post it here, whereupon you will attempt to tear it apart. That's how we roll in West Mall.
