I would love to be a fly on the wall to see what Mulkey is saying after 12 turnovers. Even though we’ve blown some great opportunities it’s positive to see Texas come back after being down 19-11. I honestly thought that was when we were gonna get buried.

Unfortunately bailor will cleanup their turnovers. I honestly can't say that about us.
 
I hate to say it Celeste Taylor is having a big sophomore slump. Definitely not playing like we saw last year. That's three times in this game where she gets screened and just accepts it so now it causes a double team and leaves the screener wide open which is how Egbo just got that layup. She is not fighting over screens like we saw last year and it's hurting this team defensively.
 
I'm really over here frustrated so I can't even imagine how this staff feels. Our terrible offense and shooting is overshadowing the defense we are playing. Love Collier to death but she just seems to fold against Baylor and I think this is why so many have said she needs to return another year and I couldn't agree more.
 
Celeste needs to attack the basket before she starts shooting. I don't know her field goal percentage for the last few games but I bet it's below 30%

It's okay, next season will be a different year at least on the women's side. Texas will be in the running for that big 12 title. Hopefully Mulkey doesn't retire anytime soon knowing Texas is about to give them a challenge in the coming years

I agree. There is hope on the women's side. The men not so much.
Unfortunately we're going to have to rely on a lot of freshman next year. It will be frustrating in a better way lol.

Agreed but shooting wise we are getting the pieces needed to score. Defensively, considering what Vic has done with this team in such short notice is nothing short of amazing. Texas will be much better than they already are defensively because our recruits are great defensively. Add the offense they bring along with some transfers and Texas will have a chance to be top 10 without a question. Especially with a full summer of workouts with little to no restrictions.
 
Tonight’s effort would have beaten OU on Saturday. Looks like we’ll avoid a total collapse after that game which was a valid concern Saturday night in my book.
 
Baylor is classless. Just terrible. However they rule the Big 12, have one of the best coaches in the nation, and we are nowhere close. So we can do nothing but complain - and dream of better seasons ahead.

I know we lost this game and some may be frustrated but this game was not all that bad. 1000x better than our last performance. We could honestly use this game as momentum going into the rest of our games and gain more momentum for the big 12 tournament I'm roud of our effort in this 4th quarter. Lol don't blast me:whiteflag:
 
Fought til the end had chances to cut the lead a couple of times and killed it with stupid mistakes. Overall I'm just glad we didn't totally collapse.

Agreed but we displayed what we are capable of scoring. Our shot selection has never been the problem. We get great looks it's just the finishing part that we seem to struggle with. All in all I'm pleased with this loss(never said that before) but I think this team showed great fight and I'm sure Vic is happy with the effort

I knew we would have talent deficits against some teams. What's really frustrating is that I thought we would be fundamentaly better in regards to turnovers. And who had a clue our shooting would be so putrid. Im with you in regards to this possibly being a momentum game.
 
Vic seemed to be pretty animated with Kim post game??? Perhaps he didn't care for the kiss- blowing from Smith.
