Pretty typical of the Longhorns so far this season. Flashes of looking descent and then just bone-head play after bone-head play. Why do you keep settling for jump shot after jump shot? Hopefully Barnes can coach them through this.
 
watching this game on KXTA in Dallas...signal looks like ****...might just be the worst tv signal for a basketball game i have ever seen...hell the UT-Arlington-Lamar game looked better on Metro Sports than this crap does...even the HD channel looks like ****...

i have TWC btw...
 
In HD on DirectTV. Not that it looks much better. Amazed we are in this game. Baylor struggles have little to do with our defense.
 
Directv Ch21 in Dallas and it looks pretty good on the HD channel - picture-wise.

Our defense has been really good. Mason saved our bacon couple of times. Need to get James loose close to the basket. If we can keep their outside shooters at bay we'll do okay...but, I've been worried about Baylor all year so the Horns will really need to keep playing great D.

Good news: Johnson will be back for 2nd half.
 
Good point Horn69, you kind of forget about GJ since he got the 2 fouls so early. He should get his and also help out Damion.
 
How many point blank shots can this team miss? FT's too. Playing at a low level tonite against a decent, but far from great Baylor team.

When both team are in the bonus with 14:00 to play,the refs might be trying too hard.

Nice back to back dunks by Dex and Damion.
 
This is becoming a battle between Lomars and Pittman. Who would have seen that coming?

Our guards are definitely overplaying there guys, so that has accounted for most of our fouls. It must be working as we have kept them in check. Now if we could only hit a jumper on our end.
 
Never heard a play by play guy tell the refs how much time to put back on the clock (while giving a play by play of him telling the refs how much time to put on the clock).
 
great win for the Horns! baylor has some players but ours were a little better. nice to have a smart player like Atchley holding the ball and drawing the foul at the end. our defense was pretty salty. Go Horns!

Gutsy win. Played well down the stretch. Thought that was a good strategy by Drew to foul Balbay, but you have to make a bucket on your end if you are going to do that. DJ is the player of the game after shooting 6 for 20.
 
hard to figure how they came up with that player of the game, buster. I think Abrams actually. Also agree with your point about the announcers helping on the clock. Announcer was calling clock right as ball hit net. I think in actuality it s/b after ball goes thru net and then team either takes it out of bounds or calls timeout. glad it didn't cost us. and why was Jerrells on the bench? Kinda weird that both he and Damion were not in the game at crunch time.

Huge win. It is heartening to see some players not play well and then somebody step up and carry the team night after night.

This sets Texas up to make a run through an easier part of the schedule. Keep winning and we set up the huge game with OU next month.
 
Man we have some bad free throw shooters. It will cost us a game before long. Balbay just kind of throws it up there if it goes it a bonus. Chapman long on every free throw, **** back up or something, close your eyes.
