And this is why I don't generally base my futures bets on the national pundits, save for the ones that actually know what they are doing in the world of sports-betting.

My comment to mom last night was that this game puts me closer to collecting on my under bet for the future wins total. I have alternate under at the 9.5 total, meaning they now have to go 10-5 for me to lose that one. Granted, there is still lots of season left and it COULD happen, but I see seven losses more likely to occur than there being ten wins logged for the Browns.

And yes, I absolutely agree that playoffs just two years removed from a single win season is a tough hill to conquer but I disagree that ONE player CAN make that much of a difference. Some of the issues facing the Browns were a culture and attitude sort of thing...getting the RIGHT player CAN make a difference in adjusting both of those.
