B12 Championship '22 Game Thread (KSU vs TCU)

But that is the rule and I've seen it multiple times before, thinking it was a dumb rule every time. If the QB is moving his arm forward in a passing motion (vs the proverbial "empty hand"), it's an incomplete pass even if a defender's momentum knocks it loose in a backwards direction.
Stab, but he wasn’t. In other words, he clearly and intentionally stopped the motion. Again, the rules expert unequivocally confirmed that it was a fumble, because of the arm being stopped by Duggan.

I’m not a fan of putting in a team that didn’t play in their Conference Championship Game. Bama shouldn’t be in, but the Committee will do as they please. Hell! The Committee has 5 winners to choose from.

SECTION 19. Passes :: NCAA Football Rules Online

When a Team A player is holding the ball to pass it forward toward the neutral zone, any intentional forward movement of his hand or arm with the ball firmly in his control starts the forward pass. If a Team B player contacts the passer or ball after forward movement begins and the ball leaves the passer’s hand, a forward pass is ruled regardless of where the ball strikes the ground or a player

Again, it's stupid not to just go with "did it travel forward or backwards", but it is the rule.

Why do all ref crews lazily spot anything from the 1 inch line to the 1.5 yard line on "exactly the 1" instead, when every single inch matters down there?
