B12 Championship '22 Game Thread (KSU vs TCU)

In Big 12 games, Big 12 opponents were called for 1 holding call vs Oklahoma and 2 vs Texas, the entire year. This is impossible unless the fix was in.
 
Vs how many holding calls against OU and Texas in those games? Ive seen OU OL get away with holding for as long as the B12 has existed.
 
Good game that will be close until the end. TCU can play with anyone. So can KSU.

I’m hoping for a mediocre performance in the 2nd half by Duggan, and a poor showing by Bennett tonight. If both happen, I have to think that Bijan would have a shot at the Heisman. Before anyone says that I’m crazy, note the pecking order per ESPN before last night. BR was 4th. I’m thinking/hoping that more than a few voters could be shopping around, and BR is the only RB in the top 5.

I hope Dugan, Williams and Stroud played themselves out of contention so Bijan can get it.
 
That rule is idiotic. The ball left his hand moving backwards. That should be a backward pass and thus a fumble. As stupid as the old tuck rule.

On that call, the Big 12 officials showed their clear bias for TCU. When have we seen both announcers and the officials expert, all three, agree on a call and have the officials reverse it?

But that is the rule and I've seen it multiple times before, thinking it was a dumb rule every time. If the QB is moving his arm forward in a passing motion (vs the proverbial "empty hand"), it's an incomplete pass even if a defender's momentum knocks it loose in a backwards direction.

You are correct 1966, will edit - FW. I was in Austin vs TCU 1967 - frogs won 24-17. Gilbert had a 94 yard TD run.

Johnston went and got that long pass a moment ago like a top receiver should. Had to leave the pattern to go get it.
 
Q Johnston should’ve come here where he’d get a chance to make the playoffs and maybe even play for the National Championship.

Errrrrrrrr, Ummmmmmm, never mind…………
