Assessing the QB Situation

How is the defense picked apart last weekend? Most of the time Young couldn't find a receiver to throw to because the coverage was so good. They only scored 20 points. They went three and out six times. Where was our defense exposed and picked apart?
Young threw for 213 yd. We threw for 293 yards.

We all support Card, but something tells me....unless Wright ends up not playing much or at all....that QB3 will end up being more popular than QB2 after Saturday night.
...just a feeling

Sark does not want high emotion
He says he wants team to live up to the standard they set which means play with purpose. DKR always said he wanted teams with an "even keel " neither too high or too low.

UTSA isn’t Bama. We should we able to handle them with me at QB. Yes, I know all about their success. I live near SA. Losing to them is on a par with ND losing to Marshall or Aggy to App State. Can’t let it happen.

I think you underestimate Marshall, App St. & UTSA. Anybody who takes any of them lightly could get stung. They may not have many 4-5* players, but they do have D1 players & a prideful-well prepared football team can be dangerous.

So you think scoreboard means the defense was picked apart? Help me understand how this from the reigning Hiesman trophy winner on the #1 team in the land is being picked apart.

C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT QBR
Bryce Young 27/39 213 5.5 1 0 79.1
Totally agree Vol Horn 4 life on your assessment of BY. He is gifted no doubt but he does not have the supporting cast that he had last year. They had no WR that was lethal and other than the aledo kids 85 burst, they did very little on offense. Without a doubt Ewers was light years better that day.

Reminds me when we lost to OU in 2004 and people were saying the defense blew it because Adrian Peterson rushed for 200 yards. Even though our gameplan was clearly to stop the Heisman winner first, and Jason White threw for 113 yards and had 2 picks plus a fumble, and oh yeah the final score was 12-0.

Well the defense coulda matched the OU offense like Bubba Jacques (or some other DB that I can’t remember his name) did that one year.

Run, the media thinks they are the end-all, be-all and entitled. My favorite story about them goes back to the early 70s with lawsuit over the TMPA. TMPA was the single most dangerous entity ever created with unbridled power to seize property.

TMPA's first power grab was in Grimes County, whose landowners sued. Grimes County in the legislature by The Bull of the Brazos, Senator Bill Moore of Bryan. Television station in Dallas sent a reporter down to Bryan to interview Senator Moore. His staff refused to let them in his office. He and his son left out the back door to get in his car and go home to dinner. The reporter caught them with the Senator inside and his son getting behind the wheel.

The great (but typical) question, "Can you tell us why the Senator refuses to answer the people's questions".

Son's reply, "People, what people? You look like just some other ******* sent down here to stir up trouble".

That went live over Dallas 6 o'clock news.

"Winning Rich Arrogant Dickweed"

Maybe A&M will give Nick a discounted lease rate to use their "Trophy Room" to store some of his.

We don't have to speculate anymore. I just got some inside info. It's going to be Charles Quinson.

Or maybe it was Card Eweright!:idk:
