Ariel???

Yep, she also shot 29% from the 3 point line in conference play. She also shot 35% overall from the field in conference play. She also led the team in turnovers in conference play. The fact that she lead the team in scoring in conference play with such low shooting percentages and in turnovers along with Nneka getting injured it really shows you why they lost 9 games in conference play. There was no guard / perimeter player who was efficient shooting the ball.
Oh I'm not sensitive to it as you say. I'm simply calling you out for all of your negative posts regarding Ariel....a young lady who works hard every day, who is a total team player, and was seriously injured last year. All you have done on here is CRITICIZE Ariel, emphatically reminding us of YOUR PERCEPTION of her flaws. Did you ever once stop to think that she attempted to play even while she was seriously hurt? ANYONE with ANY basketball knowledge whatsoever (which you obviously do not possess) KNOWS how much we need her to get to a higher level this year!!!!! The fact is....NO ONE on this board CARES what you think. So if that is being SENSITIVE, so be it. And as far as your expertise in deeming someone as "sensitive" just because they call you out for your constant negativity about this young lady, that would be called "projection". I thus suggest you have a seat with the other haters waiting for me to give a lovely _____!!!!!

...but she has to do it consistently. I won't mind if she shows or proves me wrong.
Quick, alert Ariel, she will be soooooo happy to hear that :rolleyes1:.

So if she scores less next game, or misses some shots, she's being inconsistent? Honestly what worthless drivel. The beauty of this team is our depth, and how many weapons we have at all positions. Lashann scores 17 vs. SHSU and then just 3 vs. WVU. But no matter because we had Ariel, Imani and Brooke. Some games it will be Brianna, and others Celina, or Empress. Versus Sam Houston Kelsey was our dominant post, and Jordan (10 points) and Sara (9) were key contributors...then only saw 2 and 3 minutes respectively versus the Mountaineers. It's different every game; that's not inconsistency, it's called different people stepping up at different times. Because we have the talent and depth for that to happen. Ariel has looked phenomenal since her return. But she doesn't "have to" do anything each game - more often than not she will contribute because she's a top player, and clearly that's what she did when healthy last season. But when she does have an off night, others will be there to pick up the slack.

No one's criticizing Ariel. Again, that's just you being sensitive about her. Please show me where i was criticizing her. The numbers that i gave you are facts, so if you can't deal with it, that's your problem. I had a debate on here a while back with a poster, it may have been you. And they where making excuses like you as to why she didn't play well overall. And just like I told that poster, if you're out there playing you're healthy. The opposing team isn't going to take it easy on you because you might be injured, they're going to go at you. Ariel was the number two player in the country. I'm sorry if i expect a player ranked that high to, you know, actually play like it.

When Empress played well against Stanford i said the same thing about her needing to be consistent and no one had a problem with it. And guess what, Empress has gone right back to playing like typical Empress. Shooting her usual two for seven or two for eight from the field. And also turning the ball over at a high rate. And missing the majority of the 3 point attempts that she should never take. I'm a fan of the team so why would i criticize Ariel. I just gave you the facts, and if you can't handle that then it's your problem not mine. STOP BEING SO SENSITIVE!!!

Even the dumbest of dumb asses can see that she wasn't fully recovered from the high AND low ankle sprain last season. Still she managed to lead the team in scoring during conference play, and garner All Big 12 Freshman Team honors along with McCarty. This with an injury that OBVIOUSLY wasn't healed or else it wouldn't have required off-season surgery. She's just THAT good... deal with it. And for the uneducated, here's a little info on the injury she was dealing with. Let me see you WALK consistently with this:

You are OBVIOUSLY not an athlete and have never played hurt, nor do you comprehend of take into account the severity of Ariel's injury. You have absolutlely ZERO knowledge about the game other than your own meaningless DRIVEL!!!!! FIRST AND FOREMOST, being sensitive has nothing to do with it. It's called actual KNOWLEGE and EXPERIENCE of the game of basketball..... something you obviously know nothing about!!!!! WHY you continue to dwell in the past rather than embrace the bright future Coach Aston and her staff have brought to all of us as fans, tells me all I need to know about you. So....please DRIVEL ON. NO ONE is listening!!!!!

Yep, and just like i said, it's also one of the reasons why this team lost 9 games in conference. Let this dummy teach you something. When a player leads the team in scoring but they're shooting a horrible percentage that means that they're a very inefficient player. It means that they're taking a high volume of shots which hurts the team. That's what makes a player like Kevin Durant so great, he shoots 50% from the field not 35%. He's a very efficient player.

So i don't care if she led the team in scoring, she should have led the team in scoring in conference play, she took a ton of shots. It's also funny that you didn't mention that she also lead the team in turnovers in conference play. And if Ariel was that injured she should've redshirted, but she didn't. And because she was out there playing she was considered healthy, not just by me but also the opposition she was playing against.

Obviously a personal attack against Ariel that's so ridiculous that it's not worth further contention. Everyone just stay tuned to the season and we'll see how this all plays out. One never really knows what's going to happen, but I'm willing to bet Ariel hasn't even BEGUN to play her best basketball yet. By the way, glad you could pick up on who the dumb *** I referred to was. Perhaps you're not as dumb as you're making yourself look, but rather a hater who might have some personal interest in this team.

You and Bobcat need to stop with that crap. Like I told Bobcat, show me where i said anything personal about Ariel. If me giving you the actual statistics of how she played last year is a personal attack then i'm obviously correct in what i'm saying. I didn't say anything personal about her. I gave you her statistics, which are facts. So stop accusing me of making personal attacks against her.

I am not criticizing anybody in particular with their posts yet. However, I think all necessary opinions and defense of the argumentative points have reached a stalemate now.
