Anyone else worried/disappointed

I think those were the names Jeff Traylor gave them, as he tweet this morning when he left to meet them that he was off to "go get smash and dash" or something like that (or was it "bash and dash"?). Anyway, it looks like Traylor went over there and closed the show. The guy is a recruiting machine.

Alright, who is going to summarize. I get it we might have a good, very good, great, or legendary class of recruits.
 
I will throw cold water, just to get Dion to stop hyperventilating. We still have some 13 days to go, and that is a long time. Right now people are kinda swearing that we have 7 or 8 silent commits and not even Taylor Hamm is disputing it much. But we remember that there was almost this much of player celebration last year (maybe not quite this much, but close) that we were about to land Kyler, Mack, Lodge and Sosa after our OV weekend. So, let's all tap the breaks a bit. Things can change. But we will get at least some 5 or 6 of those silents, I think, and a few more good ones. Should be at least a top-12 class or something in the end, bt it could even be a top 8 or something too. Either way, there will be some good talent coming in. If we get at least 3 DTs among the 5 or 6 we are looking at, it will be a class that would fill the needs very well. But this will be fun for the next 2 weeks.

Actually, I've had similar thoughts about last year vs. this one (However, I think we dodged two huge bullets, maybe ballistic missiles, in Mack and Murray). Feb 3rd can't get here soon enough! Let's get these guys on the 40.
 
This class will be the epic of epic. I've just learned that we'll be taking 39 recruits instead of 26. So far, 31 are already committed.

Of the 20 seniors-to-be, 13 will be found to have drugs and guns in their rooms on February 2nd (you're welcome) and will be dismissed. Boyette, Bluiett, Cottrell, Hodges, Perkins, Swoopes, and Vaccaro will remain on the team.
 
The general vibe last night was that Hudson may still stick to Baylor, though he had a great time on the visit. He tried to convince his sister to move and the sister convinced him instead to stay, I assume! Again, like I said, don't celebrate anything yet. 12 more days to go. If we had some of these so-called 8 silent recruits just coming out and committing, I would feel better. I am sure we will get some 5 or 6 of them but shouldn't keep such very high hopes for top-5 type class and all that. I am still feeling some sort of a #8 thru #13 type class. If we can get Brandon Jones, Kyle Porter and at least 3 of the DTs on the board, I am pretty damn happy. If we can somehow steal Fowler also, I would be ecstatic. But I hate other coaches trusting Charlie's eye for talent and poaching on guys like Obi, though. Would hate to lose him.

Agree. I don't count "silent commits" until they identify themselves. But As long as we get the guys that want to be at UT, fill a need and want to play hard to win championships. That will be good. I've seen tweets and posts about anything from a #3 to #10 ranked class. That is chest thumping material for the fans. Plus, its not where you start, but where you finish and that is how the class will be remembered.
