To answer the original question posed.

No.

Coaching staff and current and committed players are doing some good work. This will result in a very good recruiting class.

Maybe the distance issue will prevail at the end?
And maybe he's sees the Charlie-momentum rolling?
Seems like a longshot, but we will see

Your post reminds me of the campfire scene from "Blazing Saddles?" Talk about ripping it...probably the best fart scene ever to grace the silver screen. :smile1:

Also, if we get another top 10 class, can you imagine how recruiting will look after a good season. This year we went 5-7 and there is still buzz about this program. A perfect storm could be brewing.
 
Yeah, if he reels in about half or 2/3rds of these names on the board now, and we win some 9 games next year, Charlie would have reversed the recruiting scheme that Mack set in place over decade ago when he started messing up everybody's plans by wrapping up guys into a top-3 class a year ahead. All the coaches who started aping Mack and started early recruiting will again have to follow the Texas coach's lead and change their ways. They'll need to recruit the way it should be done - by waiting to see how players do in their senior year and bowl games. Nobody's commits will be safe if Texas has any interest in them, and everybody would be scared of Texas taking them away in January. The top players in Texas will no longer be talking about Charlie's staff not contacting them, but will instead be waiting till the end for the honor of being part of the January hoopla in Austin. Charlie may well set that in motion if he finishes strong here and wins decently next year. I am gonna love it!

Agree. Strong & Co. are getting the top recruits on campus and if he gets them to ink the line on NSD, has a good season (especially finishing with 8-9 wins) with primarily true, RS frosh and sophs starting / playing, the program will take off! Notch a few of the wins that got away last season and boom!! #Lets Ride #Believe.
