I don’t mind a little luck going our way!!That was a freakishly lucky error in the 9th that scored two runs.
Well, luck plus our opponent’s exceedingly lousy outfield communication and coaching. That was a freakishly lucky error in the 9th that scored two runs.
You folks may not remember but Horns lost a very demoralizing loss at Stanford in 2001 at their regional. Horns had bases loaded in bottom 9th, down 1 run with no outs and just needed a hit to win the regional. Stanford escaped on some crazy baseball plays - like 1 in 200 type of stuff. Anyway, turnabout is fair play. That was a freakishly lucky error in the 9th that scored two runs.
Last 9th inning better than this started with a 2 out HR by Kieschnick. I know I'm being all oblique like @SabreHorn about it, but who here recalls the game I am referencing?I just finished watching it on tape delay. What an incredible 9th inning rally!!! The discipline at the plate, then driving in the runs and getting it done. Best 9th inning in eons!
I think it was a regular season game against Sooners or the gags.Last 9th inning better than this started with a 2 out HR by Kieschnick. I know I'm being all oblique like @SabreHorn about it, but who here recalls the game I am referencing?
Winner, winner.Texas scored a ton of runs one year in the bottom of the ninth to come back and beat Miami I need to look up year buy sometime in early ‘90’s when I was in Austin.
edit: that game was February ‘93 Texas beat Miami 12-11, I can’t find box score but Horns scored 7 or 8 runs in bottom of the ninth.
