The kid was right. At least #40 is marginally acceptable for a RB (marginal for a HB, totally acceptable for a FB). #60 for a LB on the other hand...I was playing pee wee 6 man football when gale sayers was a rookie. Someone said his # should have been in the 20s, #40 was for DBs. That didn't make sense either

BTW, for those of you claiming #60 is such a popular number for LBs, still waiting on one of you to produce a list of premier LBs (college or NFL) to have donned the vaunted #60 over the past 25 years. Hell, let's open it up to starting LBs (college or NFL).
