Agree. The only place that "throwing money at it" actually fixes things is the hyper-local level (i.e. my residence). I'm happy to provide my mailing address for any money throwers in the room.

Don't be naive on this. I don't know if McDumbass (our VP) meant to say population or pollution. Regardless, there is a set of enviro-whackos who know that billions fewer people means that much less consumption, production, and its concomitant pollution. The polite ones won't dare voice that connection, but it is most definitely out there.

I don't disagree that may be the goal, but I disagree that she read the correct word from the teleprompter. Freudian slip for sure.
 
When I saw Kamala talk about population, I didn't think she meant pollution, but that may be the case. I thought of this - Georgia Guidestones - Wikipedia.

One of its tenets was keeping the world population below 500,000,000 - half a billion. Current world population is more than 8,000,000,000 - 8 billion.

Not going to a conspiracy theory, but her speech reminded me of that monument which I had not thought about in years.

If the goal is to reduce population, wouldn't they want us to continue using fossil fuels? They say that causes the temperature extremes which kills more of us, right?

They know using fossil fuels increases standard of living and population, thus they need to demonize it.
 
When Kamala said we need to reduce population, she meant to say "reduce Republican population." That sems to be the objective for the Dems.
