Alamo Bowl Game Thread: UT v UW

I feel the UW QB has had just enough time to keep these drives going, they (defense) haven't done bad but i would feel more comfortable if they could get to him more often and quicker.

Offensively, QE needs to put this team on his back, i'm not sure he realizes that its up to him. More growing to do at the QB position and the offensive line needs to step it up some but the RB has to make the first guy miss. Would like to see more success in the run game, would help tremendously.

Much respect to the defense so far, they are the reason we are still in this game. It was huge to get out of that last drive with only a field goal.

I care about the game. But I'm not going to ask a guy to risk 13 million for it. It's important, but not that level important. Just remember that kind of money is life changing for almost anyone. Last year Smith got a 19M deal at the 10 spot. Top of the 2nd round got 6M over 4 years. He blows a knee and he's taking a potential 10M+ hit.
 
If Sarkisian was half the QB coach we think he is he would have had Ewers looking like some semblance of a starting QB and not this hot mess we see today. His mechanics suck. How do you start 10 games with such bad habits? Maybe he did not need to know how to read a defense at Southlake Carrol and he could just wing it off his back foot to his first read with lots of success but it ain’t cutting it now.
I sure hope Manning is the real deal.

Qb1 is Manning starting tomorrow
 
We could start Brady and it would not help if the damn OL cannot block.

the guards and center are terrible. We have not had 1 running lane in the 1st half
 
Bijan ain't playing. The next time we have a player that good that's headed to the NFL, they ain't playing either. It's halftime. We should move on.
 
In my mind, QE has the next 2 Qtrs to prove he's the guy. This routine is getting old. We've seen this movie too many times this season, and the ending really sucks. The defense has done an incredible job considering how good this offense is supposed to be, and they are doing it without their best player who opted to play grabass on a game that really does mean something (unlike future top-5 pick Will Anderson who is playing in bama's "meaningless" bowl game and has real money on the line). With Ryan Watts likely out in the 2nd half, Wash is going to score some points. If we can't have a complete turnaround from what we've seen this season, then this game is already over. And there is no hall of fame RB available to bail the QB out this time.
 
I can't believe it, but I think I've seen enough of Quinn Ewers as the UT QB. Biggest bust since Garrett Gilbert? Ewers simply looks lost out there.
 
I think it might be time for Sark to hire an OC/play-caller and do what he seems to do best: Recruit and build the culture. There is every indication — OSU, ISU, TCU — that he can’t do both.

We have 3 points. Think about that. This could get out of hand very quickly.
