AJ Will Declare

I actually don't mind AJ playing PG, particularly if Balbay ends up showing that he needs a little development.

I think Abrams can probably handle the point just as well as Mason. However, I don't know whether James, Mason, Brown, and the big men are ready to pick up AJ's scoring load, so we might need him to continue focusing on scoring.

I really do not agree with Andy Abrams and his comment.
It is only natural for the media to talk about the point guard on a team, especially when they are as good as DJ. The point guard is liker the QB on a football team and is usually the team leader.

I saw the quote from one scout that said something like "I don't what he is thinking.....we do not even have him on the board."

I just hope there is not a team that will take a chance on him this year anyway. I want him back. Selfish ? Hell yes. We need him.

Abrams is a quick release jump shooter that has more scorching hot streaks than cold ones... His handle is below average... He is small, light, and weak for his position... even at the college level. His defense is limited by his size. He makes very bad decisions (less as he gets older) about shots at times, that can deflate the teams momentum or create fastbreaks for the opponent.

I like the guy when he is playing smart, but I don't think he has any real chance of a career at the next level (in the NBA). He can probably play overseas and in the NBDL as long as he chooses to.

I am not sure what message I am getting by the fact that he is declaring when he probably knows he has no chance at being drafted this year... Is it an ego-stroking situation? delusional advisors? who knows... just creates a mildly negative impression in my mind.
