Aggy

If they keep up this level of recruiting they will be competitive everywhere and a good coach can do wonders. The Ags remember Jackie Sherrill and what he did with good talent

I'm caught up and a little board at work, so here is one of my fav aggy jokes:

City official arrives at the farm of an aggy and knocks on the door. He informs the aggy he is there to inspect his animals to be sure they are being taken care of and not being abused. aggy agrees to the inspection and accompanies the official to the barnyard.

Official spots a horse and asks aggy if he can check with the horse. aggy agrees. Official asks the horse if he is being treated well and is he ever abused. The horse replies: I'm brushed daily, given plenty of water and oats, freedom to roam. No abuse and no complaints!

Official spots a pig and asks the aggy farmer if he can check with the pig. aggy agrees. Official asks the pig if he is being treated well / any abuse? Pig replies: I'm never abused and I'm well taken care of. I'm fed all the dinner time scraps I want, I have plenty of mud to roll around in, so I'm happy!

The Official then spots a sheep wandering in another part of the yard. He asks if he can check with the sheep and the aggy suddenly blurts out: SHEEP LIE !!!

Paul Finebaum has lost his mind. He has been pimping Aggy all day on Twitter. I refuse to link that garbage. He actually said that we need the Aggy game more than Aggy needs the Texas game. SMH

We have USC, LSU, Alabama, Ohio State and Michigan on tap. We don’t need Aggy. What a schill for the SEC Network. Hope they get rating tonight commensurate with the Aggy opponent. Lil sisters of the poor. What a joke

LoL

You need to take a closer look at their recruiting. It's not that impressive.

Look at their current class, subtract all Dbs and WRs and then look at the class.

You have 1 5'star OT and 4 4'star others, that it, 5 guys rated 4'star or higher. Compare that to the Texas class from last year, we ended up with 10 guys who were rated 4'star or higher from all other positions not including DBs and WRs.

If they want to improve on this, they are going to have to cut some of their 3'star commitments.

I would love nothing more for Jimbo to piss off the Texas High School coaches by cutting commitments. That would go over really well.

Bill,

He has a good start. He went to see Roschon, spent all day with principal and HC, letting everyone get autographs and have pictures made with him. He skipped out on visit to Port Arthur by sending an assistant over there. Don't think Kenny was too pleased.

I love PNG, but compare the number of D-1 kids coming out of The Reservation with the number coming out of Port Arthur.

I just went full blast at Finebaum on his Twitter and his Aggy schill tweets. I will let you know if he has responds, doubt it

I'm not sure it's that good of a start,

Again, 6 guys that are 4'star or higher outside of DB and WR

1 5'star OT that is going to be a guard when he gets on campus, Texas has two offensive linemen on his level and both of them are legit tackles.
3 4'star DE/DT, I admit I wish we had Leal, but we don't. Their DT is a solid guy and that DE Mowery is also really good. I'll withhold judgement until I see what Texas fill in with.
1 4'star TE - not much difference between their TE and the one we have committed.
1 4'star RB - He just didn't impress me, I will withhold judgement until I see what Texas gets.

Texas has Roshon, they don't. They have great Dbs and Wrs, big deal their classes don't compare to what Teas got last year, and that has played a major part in why some of those guys are committed there and not to Texas.

Average player rating has them ranked 10th, and that is way up from where they used to be.

EDIT: I double checked, it looks like their DT got his 4th star and their guy that I thought was a LB is a DE

Ok so I cringe when we always bring in Aggie but I have to say, next week they get Game Day and we get,,,,,,,,,,,,Tulsa, while sitting 0-1.
Think I'll just shut up for awhile.

It was either Clemson v. aggy or Arky v. Alabama. Also get ready for GD in two weeks for aggy v. Alabama.

Two in same year? Oh sh*t, they'll be insufferable, regardless of game result. And we'll be just watching from sidelines. If we went into the USC game undefeated maybe we'd have had a shot, dunno.

Nash,

Don't worry. If the Sons of Klem and Alabama make it back to the Championship Game, the Aggies will go nuts trying to figure out which name(s) to put in their trophy case

We always judge aggy based on the fact that they're...well... aggy, and that will never change, but one should acknowledge they have way more help now in the form of the SEC, ESPN, Finebaum etc to elevate, legitimize and pimp them out to the public.
We know the truth.

I admit it. I see it. I'm just saying...still aggy.
And I do think they looked like an improved program vs Clemson (mostly at QB, by the way...shows you how important that is), but people need not overreact.
Go back and look at Clemson last 3-4 years....they always have 2-3 close games per year against lesser opponents (and even lose some). A&M is in a good place right now, no doubt....but let's be real they aren't suddenly some big bad dog worthy of the hype they're getting. Jealous? Sure...a little. I'd love to see UT getting the love. But last time I checked AP has them right there beside Maryland on the outside looking in. Let's not get too carried away here.
Looks a lot like our USC loss last year....except they were home with a hype crowd and all ESPN on their jock.
Time will tell.
I give them some props, though.
Still aggy

Some one remind me the last time Arkansas won a conference title? 1992?

This is a dry spell that the ags are looking at as well. Fisher gives them a fighting chance, but unless Bama and Georgia suddenly forget how to play football, I don't see them getting over any time soon. Even LSU with Farmer Fran is in a better position than the Ags right now.

I do like some of the Ags assistant coaches, but I think Fisher is a bit overrated, he had some amazing talent at FSU and the only year he won it all was with an amazing once a generation QB. (sounds familiar)?

We will see what they do moving forward.

The same was true for Jeff Fisher. Did you know that if you take VY's games started at QB out, Jeff's career record goes from above .500 to below .500?
