No matter how you feel about 'em, you have to admit they got MAJORLY screwed on that last shot.

Shipp got ALL ARM and NO BALL......Sloan whould have been at the line shooting two.

I agree with you. I actually feel different about it. Before I felt sorta:

But now I feel sorta:

Ags got a lot of help throughout the game. I was thinking the refs were trying to make up for all of the bad calls UCLA had go its way towards the end of this season.

I agree, but having said that, that's where not having a good poitn guard hurts you. He got into the lane, went up and had nowhere to go. The foul definitely could have been called, but you can't drive in on three guys like that and expect to get a shot off in that circumstance.

He took one too many steps. If he pulls up at the free throw line or just inside and he has an open jumper. Instead he goes into traffic where UCLA had been swatting shots all night. Aggy, aggy, aggy, close but no cigar.

Aggy got a taste of their own medicine when Mbah-Moute and Love started playing goon ball in the paint and no fouls were called. F em

if aggy makes any of their free throws in the last 5 minutes then they win that game.

poor aggy.

Could have been a foul but he was out of control and was not going to get that call. The refs swallowed their whistles after calling everything earlier.

The refs were calling all sorts of weird crap all game including the last no call so it's no surprise what happened.

At times, he was. At times, they called him on it. But they did the same thing to Jones, Davis, and Jordan for A&M.

As terrible as the officiating was, it was fairly even. I'd go so far as to say that A&M got more help from the refs overall, though. They can't even keep games close when they aren't allowed to knock people around. The refs gave them plenty of latitude in this game.

Whoa, he did get hacked. But, again, if he pulls up at the FT line he has space and the time to pull the trigger.

its a foul but can you call that in that situation?

the dunk was sweet @ the end.

i can't wait until we can do it to them next year with my boy lace D

Great photos. They were hosed. They also could have won if their stud freshman hadn't melted in the second half or if they'd made a few of those one footers that were slapped away.

Still, good effort by the Ags. I thought they'd win and then choke in the next round.

I absolutely believe you can and should call it. I've always said that you can't mug a guy and get away with it under the excuse of "let the players decide the game". Well, clearly they can't do that if one side is fouling the other side tp the extent that they can't get a legit shot off.

The issue isnt' so much "should" it be called, it's "WILL" it be called. And it almost never is, for right or wrong. But once again, shouldn't have come to that - he's got to make better decisions on the last play.

For the record, he was clearly fouled and when it is clearly a game changer you have to call it, and that dunk was after the buzzer. I don't think in was unclassy either, it was basically a huge sigh of relief for them.

the refs absolutely have to make that call at the end of the game. it wasn't a touch foul, nor was the contact such that sloan even had a chance to get the shot off. the refs blew that call and cost aggy a shot at the line for the game. it doesn't matter how many calls they missed prior and it doesn't matter how intentionally loose they were being with the whistle. if you don't make that call, then aggy may as well not bothered attempting a play.

The camera angle from TV was so high and at such a horrible angle, it was bang-bang too once he made that extra step or two past the foul line. However those still pics are damning as hell.

Like the hub-bub of the TJ choking by the Okie stater. In fast motion you didn't know what the heck happened, but the still pictures and replay showed the carnage up close.

Too bad aggy didn't get the call. But, as was mentioned before, down two it would have required a horrid aggy squad to make two free throws. From the looks of the pics it seems maybe he should have been given that opportunity to fail.

If someone can explain to me how they turned the foul where the guy landed on Jones back heel and tripped him into a non-shooting offensive foul I'd love to hear that as well. I had the sound down low, not that I would expect any key insight into that play from the crew anyway.

Those pictures do paint a much different light than live TV...WOW. aggy did get hosed. I also agree that there was very little chance of him hitting both shots to tie, but they should have had the chance.
