To answer the original question, unauthorized streaming is called "leakage" and is seen as a bad thing that is financially detrimental to the rights holder of the production. Texas is responsible for enforcement of the LHN rights so if they don't do their job IMG and ESPN can claw back money. (Texas goes after anyone who uses its trademarks without permission with the same gusto.)
As others have said, the bitching to a customer service person does no good as they can do nothing to help. The bitching should be directed to Powers, Dodds and Plonsky. I would think that if the LHF told Dodds and Powers that either they force the games on the LHN to be shown on ESPN3 until the satellites and Time Warner and Comcast signed-on or the LHF would start withholding promised payments, we could at least watch on ESPN3.
As far as women's sports, Seattle's comments are spot on. However it is not just WBB; it is everything except golf and swimming. How the University who strives for superior play on the men's side can put up with mediocrity and non-competitiveness on the women's side is mind blowing.
