If you look at the inning (top) with Kavan, the middle with Simpson, and the bottom with Salmon it's just frustrating

If anyone listened to the radio Broadcast from yesterday's game against Kent State, Andrew Haynes had assistant Coach Kristen Zeleski on the pregame interview. Haynes mentioned the scheduling of this tournament in particular in the North during the cold weather months. She mentioned she was in charge of scheduling and that she had a hard time scheduling teams to play them this year at all "within budget". Visiting teams may have been wanting a premium to come into Austin and play the Longhorns?? She went on to say this was all they could find for this weekend when almost all of the rest of the conferences were playing conference games. Was surprised she mentioned the budget but it obviously was an issue?
 
In the pregame interview with Coach Mike White he mentioned that Kayden Henry was available for batting or running bases but she would not start today. He did not mention what the injury was but it must not be too bad considering she could be available.

Sounds legit. You have to pay for them to come, stay, and eat for the weekend. That's why teams like ACU, Alabama A&M and New Mexico State most likely came by bus - that's me implying (but not sure) about having to pay their travel costs.

I asked Megan Bartlett, when she was HC of Ball State, what it was like at the beginning of the year for her Northern team. She said having to travel South to play games meant arriving back in Indiana on the last flight of the night. And since they're located in Muncie, IN I would assume a bus ride from Indy back home after landing. Made for a sleepy Monday for the players.
 
Horns win 6-1. HRs by Quiroga (single), Goode (double), and Cimusz (single) led to most of the points. Except for the HRs, the Dayton pitchers did well striking out 8 of our players. Our pitchers Salmon(6)/Morgan(1) struck out 8.

Bad infield throwing error (catcher Stewart) led to a base advancement, which led to a double-steal which led to a single run by Dayton.
 
Stewart slumping a bit. I haven’t witnessed her having so many at bats without knocking the cover off the ball. Hope these woes don’t continue especially with Florida coming up soon.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw her expression. It was like why am i playing right field. Their didn’t appear to be any exchange after the collision with Maloney.
Need to fix whatever is going on asap!!

A really good question is what will the pitching rotation be? My thoughts.
Game 1 - Kavan
Game 2 - Morgan
Game 3 - Salmon
Gutierrez will come in on relief duties.

Yup, thinking about that the same way. is it #1 pitches first day and #3 pitches last? At this point, though, would I rate Citlaly slightly above Mac because Mac's been "shelled" recently.
