2025 Recruiting - Football

Both OU and Florida won today against highly ranked teams while we had their recruits in Austin.

We only hosted Fasusi who is committed to oklahoma.
We did not host any Florida commits.
Ffrench and Charles are Florida recruits, are they not? I am using recruit loosely here. Target may be more the accurate term.

They are bith committed to Tx
Yeah but Florida was trying to get them to attend yesterday’s game. That was my point. Their targets or recruits were at Texas and not Florida. You are leaning hard on the word on “committed” as if that means something. Obviously Florida doesn’t think much of it or otherwise they wouldn’t have invited them.

Gerry just said a big time 2025 prospect is believed to be on campus for an OV. Says he's waiting on a second confirmation before revealing the name.

Another source.

"Big, big, big time official visitor."
Did anyone announce who this was?

Sorry but not "leaning hard" on the word committed. If one has followed recruiting they know how fluid the word committed is.
If Florida doesnt think much of it neither do we otherwise we wouldnt be trying to flip Fasusi among others

Simply clarifying Ffrench's and Charles's status for those who dont follow recruiring .

Not much to report on OL Michael Fasusi, but OTF said he made the visit yesterday with his father and sister.

It was a better visit than the one he had in June, and one source is "really optimistic" about Texas' chances.

A&M has a legit shot as well, and Fasusi will be in College Station next weekend.

Hamilton at OTF has Texas as a "big leader" for LB Kellen Wiley, Jr. as of this morning. 80%.

Also, they have DE Javion Hilson remaining a Texas lean and he'll decide later in the week if he'll make an official visit to A&M on Saturday.

Hamilton of OTF believes that Texas will likely finish 3,2 or 1, adding that the battle for # 1 may be between Georgia and Texas, with Auburn being a sleeper.

He also noted that Ohio State has had some attrition in the past day or two.

Final 6 in play.

Show me the beef. The Georgia game proved, once again, that the game is won up front. It's like they say, "Good pitching always beats good hitting." Well, as Mike Tyson said, "Everybody has a plan until they get hit." The 1992-95 Cowboys had a great offensive line and it produced the leading rusher of all-time in Emmitt Smith though he may not have been the greatest runner ever. And their defensive line was also very stout. The grinded people to death. They'd win the toss, go on a 12 play, 80 yard drive. Get a three and out. And then go on another 12 play, 80 yard drive. It was a chokehold.
