2024 Recruiting - Football

Texas releases their spring and summer schedule.
That March 25th weekend is a big one for recruiting.

Jack Pardee played six man football in HS, and he stuck around the NFL & coaching a long time.

Asked at the Houston Touchdown Club why he chose A&M. He replied he was a farm boy working in the fields every day in constant heat. A&M offered him free clothes & shoes and all he could eat. Said it wasn't until after he moved in that the "wardrobe" was a uniform.

From 247:

“It was definitely a blessing and a dream come true,” Carter told 247Sports. “I’ve been dreaming about getting an offer from Texas since I was very young. Coach Pete Kwiatkowski has come and seen me multiple times in person and ever since the first time we spoke he said he likes the way I play. I can’t wait to keep building and getting know more about Texas.”

Update on S David Kabongo of Trophy Club Byron Nelson from 247.

"I've been talking to both coach (Blake) Gideon and coach (Jeff) Choate," he said. "They came up to Byron with coach Sark not too long ago and sat me down to talk."

"I'm going to be a mid-year enrollee so they are really excited about that," he said. "They are trying to get me down there again and trying to get me to commit there."

"I just like the intensity coach Gideon brings," he said. "Talking football with him is good. I like how we connect with the defensive terminology and stuff. We talk through defensive schemes of different colleges."

"They showed up in big games, especially the Alabama game," he said. "They really showed up in big games, especially the defense."

"Oklahoma State, TCU and Kansas are all coming on," he said. "I'm going to cut my list this summer and I want to make my decision before my senior season."
