2024 GOP Primary

If Trump is found not guilty in this trial, and presuming the Georgia and federal trials are delayed until after the election, the plan by Dems has backfired completely. Maybe the plan is to test Biden against Trump in June debate and if that fails, go to plan b at the convention.

I don't think it'll happen because it's such a liberal jury, but if he's found not guilty, they are ****** and mainly because of their own incompetence (sloppy evidence handling in the classified documents case, delay in the bringing the 1/6 case) and unethical behaviour (Fani Willis hiring laughably unqualified outside counsel that she was banging). Could the GA case proceed after the election? Probably, but I suspect it won't (whether he wins or loses).

Again, I don't think it'll happen at convention. There's a lot of risk in that getting nasty. Much easier for the DNC to do it after - even if it's only a few days later.

It comports with the Sept debate - use it as a means to introduce the new nominee.

Trump was convicted before the first junior was chosen. No case - doesn't matter.

All that is coming out makes Vipe's comment spot on

I'm not super anti NIL, but I agree with you in principle. My assumption is that we should be in the ballpark with the other big programs. But if someone wants to overpay to land a guy, that's up to them.

Assuming we're close to the other bigs, and don't overpay in a bidding war, I'll be comfortable with whoever we get.

Isn't it amazing how quickly lefties change their assessment of people, based solely on political agreement?

SN,

My experience it is more a case of whom is passing out the most cash. There is something "magical" about The Beltway. No matter the party, the Beltway strips every politicians of the morals, scruples, and ideals as soon as they cross into it; that is if they had any before they got elected.

Saber said it eloquently, but the jest is "Just follow the money".

“One of the other things I’m going to do — and I may be foolish in doing it — is I’m going to make a heavy play for New York, heavy play for New Jersey, heavy play for Virginia, heavy play for New Mexico, and a heavy play for a state that hasn’t been won in years, Minnesota,” Trump said in an interview with the right-wing outlet Breitbart earlier this year.

I think Trump is trying to expand the field of play so Dems don’t know which states to concentrate their cheating, or at least dilute the effort over more states.
