2023 Recruiting - Football

Nothing is final until the early signing period begins and even then not really until he steps onto the practice field for the first time
Manning's best friend/TE just signed with Texas last week.
#1 OL class in the nation just signed. Will be experienced once Arch starts.
Watch this recruiting class explode.
We will most likely be in the SEC by the tine Arch starts.
He now has plenty of time to help recruit the players around him.
I'm pretty confident his decision has been made and he sticks to it.
Now he can concentrate on his senior year in HS.

Prediction the next dominos to fall with Arch news. My guess Jaquaize Pettaway. He was at Texas for the official visit with Arch and Will Randle and I am guessing they were recruiting pretty hard.

What we need is some defensive pedigree. We've lacked getting elite on the front 7 (or whatever the number is these days)

Losing Hicks, Hill, and James after Perkins, Sylla, and Anderson would not be good

Here at the Manning Academy in Louisiana. Talked to Arch Manning's HS coach Nelson Stewart about Arch committing to Texas: "Arch loved Austin. It was one of those things where he just kept going back. (Texas) checked all the boxes. This truly was what was right for him."

Nelson Stewart on if Arch Manning will now shut down his recruitment: "Locked in. That's how he is. He's incredibly mature. When it's done it's done. Archie was that way and Cooper is the same way. Once you make a decision you're locked in."

Baxter just got Fong’d to Texas.

Hamilton at IT saying DT Sydir Mitchell of Oradell, NJ is "very much in play."

Recruits and/or parents are contacting the Texas coaches left and right since the Manning commitment.

Truly wish UT Recruiting Guru: @JoeFan was here to weigh in re all the Sark recruiting success since his arrival and enjoy the GREAT news today!

From IT on RB Cedric Baxter, Jr...

"Arch built a relationship with Baxter independent of where he was going. At the same time, Tashard Choice had been doing the same, but more aggressively. In recent days, Arch dialed up his efforts but in favor of Texas. We knew a month or so ago Texas could get Rueben Owens but preferred Cedric Baxter. We did not mention it for obvious reasons. When Texas slow played Rueben, we started to act more serious about Baxter, however, we were pretty muted about it because he’s from Florida. But the Choice and Arch relationships have been real for a while. On top of all that, there is no better proof of concept for him at Texas than Bijan."

ESPN calling Arch Manning to Texas a "coup". Do these idiots actually think Nick Saban coached those 3 QBs at Bama! Trust me, he didn't

Early on none of the national services were giving Tx a snowman in hell chance in getting Manning.

Only in recent weeks as it became clearer and clearer that Tx wasn't going away did some services started giving Tx odds to land Manning. Even up to this weekend most were predicting Ga.

When are we going to hear from aggy letting the world know that actually Manning was going aggy until they told him they would not pay him?

Funny you mention aggy, I haven't been over to their site in a year or more, not sure what prompted me to go over there tonight but found this little gem and busted out laughing at the dumb ***......

"This whole Arch Manning craze I never understood. Kid is probably going to end up overrated like Eli."
Every aggie would the lick the balls of every bull east of the Brazos just to be in a championship game and one of their dumb asses thinks Eli was over rated? The winner of 2 superbowls, MVP......unbelievable stupidity. :lmao:
