2023 Recruiting - Football

BA,

What am I missing? 11.08 in hundred, but 5'6'" high jump ain't exactly great hops. Arkansas hasn't offered.

I'm sure he's a great kid, but his listed numbers won't excite Lamar or SFA.

This guy is a " be careful what you wish for" kind of guy. But he is too good to not roll the dice on.
My issue is that while getting Hall would be cool, does it really address our areas of need? The Receiver room is already pretty good. The DE, LB and Safety rooms are not. Neither is the OL room, yet.

Given a choice, I’d take OL Mims from GA over Hall. We desperately need a good LB and at least one rush end. I suppose that Mathis would fill the DE need…

Take it for what it's worth, but IT talking like both WR Agiye Hall and DE Ochaun Mathis will be Longhorns without actually saying it.

On Hall specifically, they've been comparing this to when RB Keilan Robinson left Alabama and knew he'd be going to Texas.

They did mention yesterday that if Texas were to pass on Hall due to his problems at Alabama, there would likely be another WR option becoming available.

It’s probably a case of waiting on the paper work to confirm the transfer.

That is ONLY AN ISSUE if saying yes to Hall means saying no to a quality player at those positions of need. I haven't heard that at all anywhere.

On Alabama transfer WR Agiye Hall...OrangeBloods saying the staff knocked it out of the park this weekend with him and his family.

They believe Texas is the leader in his recruitment, but they don't know of a timetable for his decision.

IT added that it will "probably" be Texas in the end.

IT had an update on WR Jalen Hale of Longview after his two-day trip to Texas this weekend, and the early feedback was "very encouraging."

He was a fan of the offense and how the WRs were used, and Texas will likely get an official visit this summer.

Jalen Hale, Longview, Wide Receiver

Just a heads up that the spring evaluation period has begun and will run through the end of May, so coaches will be hitting the road to check out a lot of guys at their high schools.
