2023 Recruiting - Football

Per IT, OL TJ Shanahan of Austin Westlake may be on campus this weekend.

Texas has a good amount of ground to make up, so he needs to visit soon.

Otherwise, it's probably safe to assume he'll be going out-of-state since he's originally from Florida.

Things have cooled quite a bit between five-star DE Jayden Wayne (Tacoma, WA) and Texas.

Miami and Oregon are hot teams in that one.



 
Better Syr-excuse than a real option.

A school in the middle of nowhere, without a stadium, and no real identity or tradition in the last 55 years.
 
LB Derion Gullette of Marlin will be in Austin this weekend instead of taking his previously scheduled trip to Ohio State.

LB Anthony Hill, Jr. of Denton Ryan will be at Texas Relays this week so a visit with the coaches is possible, but he will be back in Austin next weekend specifically for football.

IT posted this morning that Texas still leads for QB Arch Manning after his recent visit to Georgia.

They emphasized this recruitment is not over, but Georgia separated itself more from Alabama than catching up to Texas' lead.

Manning and his teammate, TE Will Randle, are scheduled to arrive in Austin today in the late afternoon or early evening.

Side nite. Eli Holstein who de committed from the aggies is trying to schedule a visit to Bama.
