2023 Recruiting - Football

I'd choose Georgia over Alabama, with Texas being first in that group.

1 Texas
2 Georgia
3 Alabama

I like that Georgia offense for NFL development.

Just watched the clips on the new DL. Hope he is a good one but the recent trend of jumping up and posing after a tackle that we have all witnessed doesnt look good. If Gary Patterson can teach PK how to have an attacking D then maybe we can benefit but until then, the posing is weak. We all witnessed the worst Defense in UT history last year. We got an incredible Dline haul in recruiting so put the big boys to use!!!

Personally i enjoy watching them pose when they make a tackle. That shows energy, desire pumps every one up. Increases pride and enthusiasm I dont care what the score is. Long as they don't excessively celebrate and draw a penalty.
A player should ENJOY THE GAME!

One of the reasons I chose The University of Texas was because of class, dignity, and style the teams exhibited. That **** does none of the above.

Excitement, happiness, and enjoyment is wonderful but like DKR said, "Act like you've been there before"

Thats BS. What i wrote is better. You watch the wrong stuff. Mayb you should be watching operas at theaters

A rather new development to keep an eye on.

IT had an article today on Texas' OL big board going into spring visits, and they didn't have OL Isaiah Robinson of Arlington Lamar listed.

Robinson also hasn't been confirmed for the either of the March 26th or April 2nd weekends.

The priorities in-state were (in alpha order):

Chatman
Cojoe
Reed
Sewell
Shanahan
Stroh

Isaiah Robinson, Lamar, Offensive Tackle

I'm in the corner with Sabrehorn! As DKR said, play like you have been there before. He would not have put up with it but that seems like centuries ago; new breed of players as well as coaches today....Herman would fully endorse a meaningless celebration.

Kinda like NCAA basketball players today with several adding looks to their hair, they must really need more attention instead of letting their play identify who they are and see their skills!!!

Respecting the game, class, dignity and such like DKR subscribed to is not cool any longer. By the way, binder boy has no idea what those terms are. Unless you are Saban who is in a class all by himself, the rest have to play the game to try and get the players to come there. Being woke is the current model and few can challenge that playbook.

I have no problem with a player showing emotion after a great play. As long as it is not individual show boating, they have the right to get fired up.
As a faithful Longhorn fan that has been in the stands since I was a kid in the 60’s, something I do not like however, is when we have fans sitting on their hands and not yelling their butts off like I do. Unless you have a handicap, there is no excuse to not be vocal.

I'm old school..........my coaches in high school wouldnt have allowed a bunch of showboating..........and BTW my head coach had been All-State at St. Johns, All American at Tulane when they were still SEC and All-Pro with the Boston Patriots in 1961. Save the lipping and celebrating for after the game when you have hopefully have something to celebrate.
