2023 Recruiting - Football

that foolish, attention-seeking Zindler. Was he even a Texan?
Yes. Marvin Zindler was a native Texan. He was born in Texas, lived in Texas, and died in Texas. His family owned a men's suit store in Houston. Marvin served briefly in the Marines during WWII. People loved, or hated, his bombastic style. Like Muhammad Ali, Gorgeous George, etc.

Marvin was also an accomplished baton twirler.

As for shutting down the Chicken Ranch -- if you were a student at UT and you needed to visit a house of prostitution in order to "get some", you were clearly doing something wrong.

But, on the topic at hand...

We could use another big DT to go with the giant from New Jersey.

Also, a couple more DBs are needed.

My Grandad was a reserve HPD officer for years as was Marvin. He said one time on range day Marvin’s revolver had seized up from a lack of care and maintenance.

What does that mean? Portal doesn’t open officially until season is over.
You're right, just looked it up. This from the NCAA:

players now have to enter the portal within set dates. The first window opens the day after the championship teams are selected, which will be Dec. 5, and closes 45 days later on Jan. 18, 2023. There is also a 15-day spring period from May 1-15."

That would be a shame. Losing recruits over a ‘hot season’. That said, the last thing any program needs is a recruit who chases after a one season hot team. If they, TCU, are 7-5 next year, will they want to transfer? Build a championship, not ride on some one else’s float.

Baylor Bears for reference

Well we haven't had a hot season since 2009 ( these kids were like 4-5 years old). For us, 8-4 is actually a hot season.
