So Portal entrants Export are players who entered the portal and got picked by another school?
And imports are new players in portal? or just players who no school offered?
Almost as confusing as what actual sex a transgender is

6721,

I am so fed up with all this crap, I recently had to fill out one of those 82 page questionnaires for a place in the Texas Medical Center. Finally deciding that nobody read that crap anyway, here are some of my answers.

"Sex at birth" - I'm pretty sure that "at birth" I didn't know what "sex" was and didn't know what it was until I was about 14

"Language of preference" - "East Texas Hayseed"

"Race" - multiple choice question, but I selected "other" which allowed me to fill in "East Texas Hayseed with some Cherokee & Choctaw mixed in"

I guess they were satisfied since I haven't heard from them to the contrary.

Export is players that left the program.
Import is players that join the program.
None of what you ask is all that hard to understand.

Sabre, that’s some good stuff. Just came from a training concerning the collection of such information. I look forward to all the responses. I count on some from the general public getting very creative.

To me the word Entrant means someone entered. If they exported they were no longer entered.

I guess I am just plain stupid. thanks for pointing that out.

As a former Personnel and Training Manager for a large corporation,I routinely had to conduct required dog and pony “interpersonal skills” programs.
I had this one guy who always signed his mandatory attendance sheet as “Ernest T. Bass”.
I always knew who he was and passed him anyway.

Weather a player exported out of the program or imported into the program they all had to enter the portal to begin with. Therefore they are all entrants
And a transgender is whatever sex they tell me they are because it's none of my freaking business.

Sabre-I’m on the same page with those medical info forms. I’m convinced no one reads them because for grins I’ve filled in some obnoxious info. Never had anyone follow up. Although I never say I’m suicidal I’ve filled them in such as to indicate same and yet never, as I said, had any follow up call back. My Doc said they never get to her she has no idea who sees them - absurd.

That is an old one also hammer.
Some of the young ones here may not even know who Ernest T.Bass was or the Vern ad.:smile1:
Thanks for jogging my memory: I had confounded the two. I watched Andy Griffith every day after school in the late 1970’s when it was in syndication.

More coaches like Gundy need to speak out. Only if/when the Sabans, Smarts, Days, Harbaughs and other HCs with leverage express their their dissatisfaction, do we start to get a handle on this “out of control” situation. To be clear, Texas is benefiting, big-time. We have the money and the venue. But I don’t like what’s happening to college football. The high visibility head coaches have the power. If they were to ban together and lay out some ground rules, I believe it would change the landscape and add some needed stability.

He can speak out all he wants against the portal.
He's got no business stating anything about the kids personal business and why he transferred.
The players usually thank their coaches and are very polite about transferring.
They never say I'm leaving because my coach was a dick.
Gundy throws a kid under the bus and says oh he felt he couldn't start so he's transferring.
That was a load of crap.

Sorry, Moon, but I'd take Gundy as HC in a heartbeat. I wanted him when little Billie Powers decided his legacy was more important than the program. I would have taken him over Herman. He is stuck in a one-horse town with no draw, always going to be second in a state with not enough recruits to field a defense much less a starting 22, and in a collapsing conference where he is always going to be third to fifth best. Hell, even his biggest supporter packed up and moved to Houston.

Gundy wins! He may never make the playoffs, but he wins enough to make decent bowl games, put butts in seats, and attract some talent. To paraphrase T Boone, "I don't give a **** if he failed coach-speak, he does a great job with limited resources."

Well I wouldn't want him as a coach but then we all have our preferences.
Yeah he wins a good amount of games for the program he's at.
But I still think he's an *** and he had no reason to put that kids business out like that.
