Roster does list Booker as a Forward (not a Guard). Not that she has to play the same position across different lineups on the court, but I do think her future is at small forward.2023-24 Women's Basketball Roster - University of Texas Athletics
The updated roster has been added and no surprises. I see Moore is listed as a junior so I assume she wasn’t given her medical redshirt by the ncaa.
IIRC, she could still apply for that medical redshirt to gain an extra year of eligibility when she's a senior. Jordana was definitely eligible for a redshirt but she's listed as a true sophomore on the roster.I see Moore is listed as a junior so I assume she wasn’t given her medical redshirt by the ncaa.
I know this tweet was posted in another thread about NIL but what I noticed when I saw it again this morning? Madison Booker’s height relative to Taylor. They list her at 6’ 1” on the updated roster but she certainly doesn’t look 3 inches shorter than Taylor.
I just assumed both were in shoes with heels. The shoes Booker had on gave her a few inches.
I thought the same until I saw it on Instagram.I just assumed both were in shoes with heels.

If you saw today’s drills that the assistant coaches posted on Instagram, she’s got some hops too.The shoulders on Booker make her so stout; just compare to Taylor Jones. I have a lot of optimism for her to make an immediate impact this coming season.
For anyone who wants to see Rori's nice new ride...Harmon now has an NIL deal with Nyle Naxwell. I will say I have been seeing much more NIL deals coming from our players. Hopefully it’s the start of something big because we are way behind other schools when it comes to NIL for our women’s program.
Here we go again. Let's hope we have the whole team available this time.
I watched last year via online streaming.Be nice if those games are televised and/or streamed this time
I've been trying to tell people not to hyperventilate over our not getting a "back up point guard." While bringing in a dynamic combo guard from the transfer portal would have been ideal, the saving grace is that Booker is more than capable of assisting with ball handling duties.MB giving me vibes that if we were out of backup PG options during a game that she could step in and make that experiment fun. Her handles are so good for a freshman with that physique. She’s gonna be a special player for us.
I recall Gisella Maul would bring the ball up the court a lot for Cedar Park during her junior season; not sure how good she is at actually playing some PG.I've been trying to tell people not to hyperventilate over our not getting a "back up point guard." On the offensive side I think Shaylee would fare much better with Booker on the court to help her. The defensive part of the equation would absolutely be a big-time concern. Vic and his staff would definitely have to make adjustments.I recall Gisella Maul would bring the ball up the court a lot for Cedar Park during her junior season; not sure how good she is at actually playing some PG.
While I think Gonzales, Booker, and Maul could contribute with some ball-handling duties in some spot minutes, I don't believe any of the three would be a great permanent PG option if Rori went down with an injury; that's the concern I have. Obviously, Gonzales was forced into that role for the first 8 games of last season. She remains our first "backup" option at PG this season, IMO.
Defensively, I don't think any of those 3 players could effectively guard the "quick" back court player like JJ Quinerly or Sara Andrews; we've seen that already with Gonzales.
