2022 Recruiting - WBB

Aren’t Audrey and JAT Seniors this season??
I updated it to reflect the Texas sports roster and reposted…

Made the changes to match the roster page except I include Aliyah - I entered her as a junior for the upcoming season because she played 2 seasons at Miss St.

Next year we'll have Femme and Precious at center. At this point both are somewhat unknown quantities. Will we be looking for a transfer at that position? I know we have a good shot at a center (from the DFW area?) but she's a few years away from playing.

A poster on numerous boards by name of Tyree (a Georgia diehard) has always shared good and reliable info. He stated a day or two ago on the Lady Vols board that Latson is down to NC State, Florida State, and Texas.

No worries, we've got our PG of the future for many years to come: Rori Harmon.
My point exactly. We're very talented in the back court and it doesn't seem we'll have a critical need there until at least the 2023 recruiting class (if then). High on my wish list is Littlepage-Buggs as we lose JoAnn and Audrey after this season, not to mention she's perfect fit for Vic's system.

Not to be greedy but I'd love to get both Littlepage-Buggs and Mwenentanda. Both have good height (6' 1"), length and quickness...could guard multiple positions.

Just for grins, I’ll add C. Kyla Oldacre to the wishlist.
Hopefully we’ll start getting signals through social media of new offers and visit dates for 2022’s and 2023’s.

Glad she announced it publicly. On her twitter account, she has put out so many "likes" toward everything Longhorn-related over the last several weeks that it would have shocked me had Texas not been her ultimate choice.

Looked at an earlier video of her. Lots of potential. Good with either hand. Could tell her skills are still developing...especially her footwork. Her outside shot may need some practice. All do. She’s got lots of length and athleticism. By the time she gets to campus she’ll be ready. Great commit.

Her mom was a pretty good baller herself:

Representing the Congo in the 1996 Olympics before coming to the United States to play for Old Dominion at the age of 18.

The experience at ODU, which included a Final Four in 1997, helps Mamissa give her daughter an idea of what it takes to play in college.

“Mental toughness. The game is very fast. She has to be able to compete with herself, against herself. You have to critique yourself after the game to know that what are the things that I can improve on?” Mamissa says.

Coach Schaffer is really putting together an elite recruiting class that fits his system!

Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda - 6’1” wing
Amina Muhammad - 6’3” forward
Jordana Codio- 6’1” guard

All tall, thin, very athletic and can really run the floor!
Hope Dariana Littlepage-Buggs 6’1” wing, is next.

Assuming none of our seniors return, and with three commits we now have two spots left for the 2022-2023 season. I imagine a post player would be our next big priority. I personally think for this class, Kyla Oldacre is the most realistic option.

Don’t forget we have Abbie Boutilier already committed for 2023.
