2022 Recruiting - Football

OLine - Check, DLine - Check, QB Room - Check, DBs - Check, and LBs - Need Perkins, period. The NIL bidding war for Perkins has to be won in Austin. IMO, Perkins is more important then Stewart and Harris. Sark still needs to find portal players to help with any gaps.

Why??? When we start to win, we will be right there with the others. Let’s just appreciate the fact that we just signed an amazing class filled with some big dude’s on both sides of the ball. Stop worrying about other teams successes and rally behind our team! Freaking amazing some of the comments

Expect portal movement later- much later like after the spring

Well your right of course.
But i am jealous of their class. Plus i coveted some of those recruits. I want errybody.
And i hate Aggies.

But i do think we got a great class that filled some crucial needs and we are not finished.
 
Anything good for aggie is yuck to me - especially yuck is them getting someone I know could contribute to our success. That’s it.

It seems like some folks are ready to concede multiple CFP championships to TAM based simply on the rating of their class. Are we to believe that Aggie will do better than Alabama, Georgia or tOSU? I don’t.

And, what is the difference between a #1 class and a # 5 class? The answer will not be available for probably 24 months. My opinion: Very little, if any.

What is the most important position on the field and how did Texas do versus TAM? Big advantage Texas.

What about the O-Line, which many believe is critical to success on the field. Again, advantage Texas. Our haul was epic.

Class rating is just one data point that, because of its visibility, is a basis for debate by fans and loudmouth pundits like Manny. So yes, TAM “apparently” won on 12/15. That and $1.80 or so will get you a Tall coffee at a Starbucks.

I just want to point out the fact that A&M doesn't usually finish in the top 5. Kinda sticks out like a sore thumb and we are pretty sure how they got it. They bought it. If that's the way to get the top class then lets open the bank also. Make some young men wealthy before they even step onto the field.
I agree our class was epic. But we can't let aggy do this every year going forward.:catfight:

excellent analysis and post. What was our MAJOR need and failing over the last decade? Offensive line, duh!

Did we address that need? In spades. Look at the team rankings on Rivals and 247.
unless my ARMD is getting worse than I thought, we were 5th! Look at all the teams barely ahead of us and all the teams behind us, did any of them have a losing record?

Sark and his team, especially Flood, did an absolutely amazing job. How many of you thought that we would have a top 5 recruiting class a month ago? I did not. I am absolutely happy,
no delighted, with our class. I would not trade our class with aTm because they did not get the OL recruits that they needed. Would I liked to have grabbed a couple of WRs and LBs, yes.
But I am far from being disappointed.

I am so appreciative of the job Sark did and I am also very thankful for the job LC and CNB did in keeping us old folks current on the process.
 
Aggy had a great d-line on the field this year and finished 8-4. Aggy will be good when they have a great D and a phenom QB.
 
TFB reporting Sark is letting go of Coach Coleman
A name that's being hinted at is Brennan Marion of Pitt for WRs coach.

He "very, very" recently followed Sark, per IT, along with other accounts in Texas. He coached the Biletnikoff winner this year.

He needed to go, he was not producing on the recruiting front and not getting much out of any of our receivers other than Worthy on the field and it can be argued that it was all Worthy.
This seems like another reason to be optimistic. Coaches want to work for Sark and he has very high standard, both in developing and recruiting
 
I'd argue the difference between the #1 recruiting team vs the #5 is one player who is a 4-5 star. Not that much difference. I applaud A&M for their success. I think Fisher is building a team that will be good every year. But we all know being coach February doesn't mean you have the final say in the fall. I pay attention to the rankings just like everyone else and I'm glad we are getting some good ink. But once the games begin, those rankings don't mean jack.

Somehow I think if we got the number 1 ranking it would mean jack.
