Some Roach notes on Phaizon --

My final stop of the day was at Lancaster. I was able to catch 2022 Texas wide receiver commit Phaizon Wilson in action for the Tigers. I still marvel at how smooth Wilson is for his size, and he showed off great skills as a long outside receiver. Wilson is hard at work recruiting for Texas alongside Quinn Ewers. Wilson said they've got something special cooking up for the 2022 class and he's excited for what the class could be in a few months.

I'm thinking there are ranking experts for other schools that don't wish to see him ranked a 1.0000 because it creates a recruiting advantage he can use to get others to join him.

No. 1 player in Indiana in 2022. So Hagen spotted him as a freshman in high school. I think he is #8 nationally at his position in the class.

More from Roach -

I’ll end with a quick 2022 note. Guys are being really careful with what they say right now because they don’t want to be perceived as followers, but there is a lot of communication going on with 2022 prospects. I talked about the workout Quinn Ewers organized with Evan Stewart, Phaizon Wilson and Armani Winfield the other day, and there was supposed to be another prospect there. I can’t go into great detail yet because I’ve been asked not to, but Texas is making waves with a talented in-state prospect. There are some delicate parts of this recruitment, so we can’t get deep into it. We will see if Texas can keep the momentum up with this player.
Other intel suggests the unnamed player is Jordan Hudson (ou commit)

Devon Campbell narrowed it down to roughly half the NCAA

A lot of fluff, the 8 in the top left are the real players for his services at this time. The rest are just there. Think of it as a list of all the candy bars he's eaten in his life, well there are lots but then again, not really, there is the core and the rest.

I would think everyone after ou on that list has close to zero chance.
