2022 Recruiting - Football

Yes, but was partly due to lack of building skills and poor team cohesion. Vicious cycle as they say.
Considering the dumpster fire that binder boy had cultivated, not sure how anyone could give him a pass. When your own team is recruiting against you, thats on the coach. Players didnt like him, BMD hated him and the big cigars could care less about binder boy and his no support for the school song. Only class act on that team was Ehlinger and he is gone. The rest of the woke can eat it. When you lose focus on why you are getting a free education and ride, then you may as well move on.

Well, unless someone else is better that they get seems like he should still be an option. Considering that we just lost a DB to the portal, we should have an extra ship.
Your point has merit.
I just don't like it when he was with us so long, then joins the enemy then wants to come back. Can we take him seriously?

Early commitments like JG often waffle—though his commit to the frogs was more than a waffle.
If he turns away from the frogs and we have a scolly left—big if—then I say take him.
He’s a top player. Remember the prodigal son.

He’s not the only one hoping he can make an early impact. On Saturday afternoon, shortly after Texas lost a heartbreaker to OSU, the coaches stressed to him why he and this 2022 recruiting class are so important to the future of the program.

“After the game, we were all upset about the loss, but they said this is why we’re recruiting guys like you, to help us win games like this,” Jones said.

Wow. If that's true, and I don't have any reason to believe it's not, that's pretty telling. I've wanted to believe that the coaches would be telling kids something like that but I just didn't know. I've also wondered if top recruits watched the Arky, ou, and osu games and thought most of our lineup sucks and they'd be able to step right in.

Great recruiters are great salesmen.

If you lose big games, “that’s why we need you here at Texas, now.”

If we win big games. “You want to get on board this train because as you can see, it’s leaving the station.”

There’s always an angle.

if binder boy had any relationship building skills and stayed away from political/social problems he would still be here.
Sark has those relationship building skills. You can see it plain as day in the way he handles himself at every public appearance.

(I reserve the right to change my mind if I catch Sark giving a camera the double bird, or forcing kisses on clearly uncomfortable players in order to demonstrate his love for them.)

reminder that the two top rated QBs for the 22 class are Texas boys. Conner and Cade are currently 21 and 23 nationally on the 247 national composite list

We may be hedging our bets here. It's rumored the Michigan State assistant Mel Tucker is among the top 3 candidates to take over at LSU. If so Winfield will most likely commit to them.
Tucker was at Winfield's game last night snd has been recruiting him hard for michigan state.
Who's Winfield?
