2022-2023 Season

This announcement appears to be local-news-hack speak. Lots of exclamation points and silly, unsupported speculation, but not a lot of details. $25,000 per player, but over what period of time? 4 years? And are these those worthless aggie booster type loans, or is this real money that doesn't have to be repaid? If you look up this "Level13 Agency", it appears to be Tech Boosters' attempts to try to replicate the Clark Field Collective. But Clark Field was announced last year as covering ALL UT Athletes (men and women). So Tech Boosters have just now decided that WBB players are important? Its about time. Does anyone know what the Clark Field payout is? There were rumors about what the payments might be, but I've never heard anyone confirm what players actually receive.
Great point. Because the athletes, particularly football players are starting to get mad about the fact that a lot of schools are making promises about money and not getting any. Or it's something along the lines that you mentioned.

I am glad all athletes at UT are getting something. I wonder if there is any parity between sports, and gender on amounts received.

Does anyone know if we are home team or visitors? Tickets are on presale today for the participating schools.
Good question if you find out let us know. I got lucky with my tickets in Vegas last season but with Baylor in the mix I’m not risking sitting in the middle of that obnoxious bunch.

I believe they said the double headers will be back to back so Texas men will play then the women will play right after. Baylor men and women will play once Texas is finished so it won’t be that long of a sit with those demon seeds.

Not Texas related but big & horrible news! I hate this for Paige and since Texas plays UConn I want to play them at their best. Sucks for UConn and wish a speedy recovery for Paige.

UCONN will still be very good. They were good without her last year. She certainly wasn’t all the way back during the tournament but still was their best player. Never like seeing a player deal with these devastating injuries. Hope she comes back stronger next season and we get to play her and UCONN at full strength.

There’s certainly no love lost for us when we deal with injuries but I was very sad to hear this. UCONN being good brings more exposure to the women’s game, and I was very excited to see how we would respond facing the likely #1 team on the road.

They weren't the same team without her; how could they be? I recall that ugly loss at Georgia Tech. Obviously, they got better as they learned to play without her, and other players were forced to step up and learn their new roles.

Compared to last season, they will have a lot more time now to plan their offense without her. She's a huge loss no doubt; such a great shooter. She's not someone who can be replaced by one player. UConn will be a much stronger inside team this season, IMO. But, not having Paige on the court certainly allows the opponents to focus more on other players defensively.

The point guard from Duncanville….Flores…..committed to TCU today. Nice player. Number 80 in Hoopgulz 2023
