2022-2023 Non Big12 Teams

UConn is in a world of hurt with Azzi out. Just got by Princeton by 5. Princeton was down by only 3 with the ball in the final seconds.

Unfortunately, Latasha Lattimore’s season has come to an end due to an ACL injury. Hopefully, her rehab will go well and she’ll be ready to play next season.

Carnage for ranked teams tonight against unranked opponents, especially in the ACC:
  • #4 Indiana loses to Michigan State
  • #6 NC State loses to Duke (@ NC State)
  • #7 VaTech loses to Clemson
  • #13 North Carolina falls to FSU (@N Carolina)
#5 Notre Dame eked out a 66-63 win over Miami.

Marquette beats DePaul, helping our NET a bit.

(24)St John’s who was one of only 5 unbeaten teams left in the country falls to a Seton Hall.

(25)Creighton has bad loss to Providence.

We are receiving the 5th most votes so if we can take care of business in Stillwater this weekend we could be just a team or two out of the polls next week.

(10)NC State lose to Boston College, falling to
12-3.

(22)UNC loses their fourth game in a row tonight to Miami, falling to 9-5 on the year. UNC should fall below us joining St. John’s and Creighton, putting us potentially 3 spots closer to and only 3 spots out of the polls for now.

(1)South Carolina, (3)Ohio State, (5)UCONN, (7)LSU, (9)VA Tech, (19)Duke, (20)Gonzaga, (RV)Illinois, (RV)Florida State, (RV)Arkansas, (RV)Middle Tennessee all win tonight.

South Carolina, Ohio State, LSU, and Utah remain the only 4 unbeaten D1 squads.

A&M of course lost at LSU last night but they held the #1 offense (avg 92 points per game) to 8 points in the first Qtr and you know who was deathly quiet on the sidelines during that period. A&M held them to 74 points total but only scored 34.

Angel Reese set a program record (and I think conference too not positive) for rebounds with 28 (she scored 26). The announcers were getting nervous late in the 4th LSU up 44 points and still had Reese in the game before setting the record and thought maybe unwise to keep her in the game because it was quite physical all night and risking an injury. I was a little surprised they were openly questioning Mulkey

Mulkey is going to always let her players stay in and go for records, as much for her own glory as anything. Records set by one of her players puts her program's name in the record books.

Upsets today

USC beat Stanford (Destiny Littleton 18 pts 6 assists)
Washington St over Oregon
North Carolina beat NC State

Looks like the Sea Hag is "Baylorizing" them. Look at her taunting the player down.

A. That was a foul, jumped into her with the body first, knocking her opponent down.
B. She did receive a technical foul for taunting.
Must have an LSU/Mulkey fan on the SportsCenter social media crew to post that and act like that was a good play when it was a bad play showing poor sportsmanship.
Baylorizing indeed.

Georgia plays at A&M today at 2 PM Central time on SECN. Joni Taylor coaching against her former program.
