2021 Transfer Season

Look no further than Texas A&M when it comes to loading up on impact transfers. I think they have 8 transfers on their roster accumulated over the last 2-3 years, and 3-4 are starters or have started some this season. And, they are SEC champions, and are in line for a Top 4 national seed come Monday.

TCU's Lauren Heard finished with 26 points in their 74-72 win over KU in Kansas City this evening; she also made 13-18 FT's which tells me she was driving hard to the basket.

If she really does intend to grad-transfer for next season, I would welcome her with open arms.

That would be great. You know what else would be great? If she goes off again tomorrow and they upset Baylor. :beertoast:

Formerly from Denmark, this transfer from Odessa JC to Butler scored 18 points and 14 points in 2 games against UConn this season:

Another Miss St transfer - this one is grad transfer Sidney Cooks who started 15/19 games, averaged 6.1 ppg and 3.3 rebounds. 6’ 4” F/C.

Texas was in her 'Final' 15 in 2017 before she chose Michigan State and then transferred to Mississippi State.

6'4" forward and McDonald's HS All-American... Numbers were a little better as a true freshman and sophomore at Michigan State at almost 10 ppg. Scored 26 pts with 6 of 11 3FG this season against Troy, but not much else other than that. This could get interesting.

I guess we need to trust Vic and his staff as to which ones he will pursue - definitely interesting!

Jacob....that helps. Half way there. Who is iamthathooper? And what is he clapping about?
:D:D:D lol it's Rickea Jackson from Mississippi state and "cap" means lies. Meaning there are probably rumors going around about her entering the portal and she said that as in the rumors are not true. It could not be basketball related but I think it is. She also may be trying to shut down rumors so nobody contacts her or asks her about it and will enter the portal as a complete surprise. If she does it may be a while before she officially enters.

She said she was looking for a school with a great law school to finish her basketball career.

So....she’d be smart to transfer to Texas and Vic’s system, which she knows...we are gonna be great VERY SOON! Otherwise, she is at the mercy of “whoever”....JMHO.....

I think once we see who is hired at those two P5 vacancies, we may see some activity in the transfer portal of some significance to us -- either directly or indirectly.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some departures from Tennessee. They looked awful in their second round loss to Michigan, and certain players were showing some of the same frustration and disgust that I've seen them display over the course of the season. I don't understand why Kelly Harper waited until 13 points down and 3:41 left in the game to press. :idk:

It's painful listening to Nikki McCray-Penson's end-of-season press conference with the media.

We know 4 Mississippi State players have publicly entered the transfer portal. She says she has "8 committed players". But then she later says in the conference she doesn't know who will remain after this summer. I can only conclude "8 committed players" means "8 committed players right now, until further notice".

I'm so thankful we have Vic.

Why did the MSU women not play in the WNIT?

With the transfer portal the way that it is now I don't think any coach really knows which players are committed to that particular team. I still wouldn't be surprised if Texas had some key players transfer. There are still a lot of unknowns with the program, especially when Harris leaves to take a head coaching gig this year and which coaches may or may not go with her.
