2021 Recruiting - WBB

Will be interesting to see if Lattimore and her former point guard, Candadian teammate (who also signed with Syracuse but has since entered the transfer portal) will still want to play together in college. Teammate was playing with Team Canada in Turkey last several days.

She also posted this after her Baylor visit. I think the staff made a great impression and she fits our style of play perfectly. She also said on live that she spoke with someone very well known to Texas while on her visit:p

I overlooked her list of finalists but just realized Cal was among them. Have to think April Phillips is a big reason Texas got a visit because of their established relationship.

Thanks for the link to the interview. I haven't heard any in-depth interviews with Aaliyah so it was great to hear her voice and get an impression of her personality. She is so well-spoken, authentic, and enthusiastic. It's impressive that an incoming freshman has great interview skills right out of high school.

Beyond their basketball skills, all of our freshman-Rori, Kendall, and Aaliyah will likely be fan favorites due to their charismatic personalities.

Based on Instagram, Kyndall is a phone pirate. Leaving it unlocked and unattended in her presence is a mistake - she’s gotten April Phillips and Blair Schaefer already.

That's another point she brought up in her live. She said she wanted to go to a school where she already has an established relationship with the staff. Luckily for us all of our staff recruited her out of high school. She also mentioned yesterday she most likely knows where she wants to go so I think it's between us and Baylor. Fingers crossed she just picks the best shade or orange:hookem:

Based upon responses to her posts on IG, Latasha seems to have a good relationship and connections with many members of our team. Rori, Ashley, Kendall, ....have done a great job of staying connected with her on social media.

Has she visited any other schools besides Texas and Baylor?

She said she took a bunch of unofficial visits but I believe those were out of high school. Since she entered the portal I think it was just Texas and Baylor. Since she doesn't have much time left to decide she had to really narrow her options because she still has to do all the paperwork so I expect an announcement any day at this point.

Yep... she was going to visit Texas, Baylor, a "red" team, and PERHAPS UCLA or LSU. As previously stated... she's seemingly a great fit for Vic's system. She could make the "terrific trio" of Texas freshmen the "fab four."
 
Amani Bartlett (6’3” F from Houston, #51 ranking) flips from Syracuse to LSU. Not sure if this counts as a transfer.

Agreed, poorly worded. Should have said:

Bartlett is the third member of SU's incoming freshman class to decommit from the program, joining Shayeann Day-Wilson and Latasha Lattimore, both of whom also decommitted from Syracuse.
 
With fall semester beginning soon, I would expect transfers to announce their commitments within the next few days.

Blair made sure to be out of the country before posting this little misstep by Jackson-Durrett during a cone drill. :e-face-tears:
