3) Katie Cimusz, C/Corner, Atascocita, Texas
4) Mya Holmes, OF, Texas City, Texas

8) Nelia Peralta SS/2B, Wellington, FLorida [Flip to Auburn]

Well hopefully Mike White can flip another recruit to replace her or it might not even be necessary. Since we do have a big class with players who are very versatile. Best of luck to her but it's a new time in Texas and the train is not stopping

If you look at her commitment timeline, it was Feb before we realized that everything would be cancelled AND players would get a bonus year. Not surprising with the large number of her (ex) class and the number of returning players. Texas is on the rise whereas Auburn is stuck in the upper, but not top-tier. But, maybe better chance at realistic playing time.

Lost the commit of Allie Clements to Stanford.
Bummer.
According to re-tweet timeline, as of 10/23 all was okay

But, Nov signing period is coming up and it's flippin' season. I mean, a Stanford degree is nothing to sneeze at. So best wishes to her.

All this Covid bonus year eligibility is starting to show it's effect.
And now that you think about it...Stanford! The place that's going to be trimming non-Olympic sports next year.
Stanford to eliminate 11 of 36 varsity programs

I went back and re-read this thread from the beginning. My how things change in 10 months. I completely forgot that Allie Clements was the lone commit to Connie that Mike kept, until yesterday. I also forgot that in this upcoming class Mike flipped a players committed to LSU, Miss State, and A&M. Good for the goose, sauce for the gander.

And then the interview with Peralta where she said good things about flipping to Texas until.....she flipped to Auburn.

Still was reminded that Simpson, Cimusz, Holmes and Scott are the real deal in this class. We'll just be posting the official twitter announcements from Texas SID about 3-ish weeks from now. Fingers crossed!

Katie Cimunez ranked 13th, hit 13 homers this past summer. Seen her play quite a few times and she takes a college approach at the plate ever at bat.

These rankings are a tad bit of a joke but will update as they come.

When I was looking at Impact Gold's twitter account yesterday, I noticed that they had several players ranked close to Holmes, including 2 players who were committed to programs like Wichita State and SFA. Not sure if we recruited them, or if they have specific reasons for their verbal commitments; but, I'm hoping we might look their way if we are trying to replace the decommitments of Perralta and Clements.

A few of those players are quite a bit over ranked. I don't think we missed on them. As far as Mya Holmes goes she is a 5 tool type player from the right side. With the hit tool being the weakest. Will probably blossom with Singleton's help.

Ashton Maloney Ranked tied for 7th Hit .527 last summer, bunch of extra base hits.

Mia Scott ranked tied for 7th. Hit .576 11 homers 55 SB.

Sophia Simpson tied for 4th. 24-3 record last summer 1.25 era and 278 strike outs.

Looks like this class truly will be special. Bunch of speed, athleticism, and some power. Not sure how the power will translate on our field, but at a minimum have some gap to gap power for some 2Bs/3Bs.

These are the rankings out of the entire country correct? So Simpson is ranked #4 in the country and Maloney & Scott are 7 in the country etc...

We are just missing the announcement from Sophia Simpson. Everyone else has signed & the Texas softball account made the announcement for everyone that has signed so far.
