4-star 2021 TE or DE Dametrious Crownover of Grandview. He is already 6’7 and has a grandfather who was 7’2.

Some TFB on the 2021 class generally --

This remains the deepest class that I’ve seen since I’ve been really paying attention to recruiting, which began back in 2007. I would rate the top five players in the state as 5-star prospects right now. There is the potential for there to more that could join that status (Adeyele, D. Jackson, L. Jackson). Again, this is truly a banner year for the state of Texas.
The Texas Longhorns are still off to a strong start in 2021, with seven commitments already. Four of those commits make an appearance in this version of the top 25 following their Junior seasons.​

I agree, but not only was his dad an AA for us, I think his grandfather played for Royal too. These people have orange blood. So it would not be a good look to screw up the recruitment of such a talented Texas legacy.

Well one of those is not like the other 4. I would certainly think the Brockermeyers know that. Yes, for a lot of players the football team is the only thing that matters, and having an easier academic path may even be an advantage, but I certainly wouldn't think so with the Brockermeyers. After all they went to private school and have an older brother that decided on UT for academic reasons to begin with.

The story is supposed to be that both boys were ready to commit to Texas most of their lives but their parents (both UT) said "hold on, we would be bad parents if we didnt insist that you keep open minds and consider all your options. Use all your visits. Look around. See everything you can see. Make your own choices, dont live through us." Something like that.
