2021 Recruiting - Football

Not too many kids are going to jump at the opportunity to leave UT for Arkansas. Especially when the coach is hired from the bargin bend. If it was Alabama, I'd be worried, but not the pigs.

There was one kid recently who did. Was it a DB? He was not a commit but he had a UT offer.

2021 DE Tunmise Adeleye of Katy Tompkins told aggy 247 that his current top 3 are aggy, Bama and tOSU

Mike Roach indicated the 4-man front has renewed Adeleye's interest in Texas. We are not currently on his list but Adeleye did just push back his decision date from Jan 8 to Aug 1, 2020. He will take his OVs in the spring.

Also, Chris Ash has made his initial follows of 2021s on twitter as Texas coach. They are Adeleye, plus Latrell McCutchin (Bama commit), Landon Jackson, Hunter Washington, Billy Bowman (Texas commit) and Derrick Harris (Texas commit)

Gunter is not an obvious take. But maybe the coaches can look at film and interview him. Perhaps he wasn't a fit in the Razorback offense and has some traits that would work better at UT.

ou lost their 2021 5-star QB - the #1 ranked QB
Thats a shame

Why are the Sooners worried? He still has 2-3 years to play somewhere else before transferring to Norman and making the Hype$man final four.

I guess there was a report earlier where Vandagriff said he would not be decommiting from blowu unless Riley were to leave.

Low and behold, he decommits.

I think if we have the season we are capable of having, we will need this class to be top 2, especially on defense as we might have as many as 5 underclassmen declare early for the NFL Draft on the defensive side.

Sterns, Foster, Coburn, Ossai and maybe Green.

I am concerned about Sterns. His sophomore drop-off (even accounting for the injury) seemed to be deeper than expected. The LSU and ou games will be key for all of the RS-Jr's.

I agree that he seems to have made a couple of big plays early his freshman year and then no big plays. True to any secondary worth its salt, a lot of these better guys get put in man-to-man situations more often than not, and when they get beat, there's no place to hide. He got injured as well and is sort of "lean" in build. However, watching him against the Utes made me regain confidence in him. Textbook tackles, didn't get burned in coverage, etc. These 2018 guys will be juniors this next season, and I'm excited to see how they all do next year!
