We are supposed to be getting a visit from DL Barryn Sorrell (New Orleans, LA)
We offered in November

Some CBs in for New Orleans (LA) Holy Cross (good Catholic school) DL Barryn Sorrell to Texas (Fong and Roach and someone else I forget)
He had offers from Vandy and UVA which probably speak well to his academics
Kind of feels like Plan B to Shemar Turner, but film is not bad at all - will probably grow and spin down from SSDE to interior
Barryn Sorrell, Holy Cross, Strong-Side Defensive End

We are supposed to be in good shape with Bryan (Rudder) WR Keithron Lee (5'10,175). Has had a 4.43, 40-yard (hand time). Plays both slot and RB in HS. Good BBall player too

Apparently both us and Florida still have a shot at Aledo WR JoJo Earle
They are not sure if he will sign early or in Feb (better for us if later. I he signs early, it probably means he sticks with LSU)
Jay Valai is his recruiter

Latest rumor here is that its not us \/

We are also still after DE Gharin Stansbury from Franklin, LA who is who is supposed to be silently committed to Arizona State. The other team in it is little ut
We do need edge rushers

Roach on Ishmael Ibraheem

".... Texas commit Ishmael Ibraheem was arrested. Records show Ibraheem was released yesterday, and the charges to this point aren’t as much as were originally alleged. For now, it looks like Ibraheem will only be charged with evading police. I’ve heard from sources that Ibraheem might not have been present at the time of the crime and was instead guilty of riding in a stolen vehicle and running when confronted by police. As always, it’s a good idea to let the legal process play out fully and see what happens. Ibraheem was released on recognizance after bond was posted. Texas is aware of the situation and has been conducting its own fact-finding mission. At this point, I think it’s unlikely that Ibraheem signs with the Longhorns this week, but I’m not sure it’s a slam dunk that he’s out of the class for sure yet. A source I spoke with at Texas stressed they would let the legal process play out and gather the facts of the case before making any decision about Ibraheem’s future...."

Sorry but this feels like the worst NSD ever

(as bad as Charlie was, his NSDs were at least fun times)

Yeah spent some time this am looking at who we beat out again for these guys, really depressing... The OL class is beyond horrible, can't imagine a top RB coming here or QB for that matter. This is going to really hurt in 2-3 years. Especially with how many great OL were in the state this year and were ours to lose, which Herb and Tom did...

Ouch just saw this quote on AAS: The Longhorns' highest-rated offensive pledge is Florida wide receiver Jaden Alexis, who ranks 378th nationally.

Coach Hand has reached out to Holy Cross grad transfer OL Brian Foley. Supposed to have a zoom call soon.

Texas has offered McNeese State grad transfer DB Darion Dunn.

Early signing starts today, and goes through Friday.
For those who don’t sign in that window, NSD is the same old first Wednesday in Feb

Each of the last 8 NCs had a 4-year avg recruiting rank in the Top 10
