2020 Recruiting - WBB

Nice catch. She could pick up the mantle from Sedona and Charli.

Has anyone detected interest from the current #1 rated player in Texas, Sarah Andrews? I realize she attended our camp, which is positive, but other than that.

I wonder what that means that Sasha Goforth has visited every home football game this year --- she lives in Fayetteville, why wouldn't she go to the games? Maybe her family has season tickets. Probably grew up a Razorback fan.

I guess it's significant if the coaching staff knows she is in attendance, or invited her on an unofficial visit (free tickets), and she is spending time with players and coaches and strengthening relationships; perhaps talking to prospective recruits.

I guess kind of like Sedona and Shae when they would come to football games since they were local, or even Deja from San Antonio; of course, they were committed to Texas the majority of the time.

That would be her second unofficial - she also visited last September (tweet on page 1 of this thread). You’d think the interest would be very serious to come from Brooklyn twice on their own dime.
I had completely forgotten about that. Perhaps that is what the UConn poster was referencing. The word "recently" was not part of their post; my mistake.

Last year during Labor Day weekend, I believe there was a tournament going on in Houston on Saturday. On Sunday, I believe many of the hoopsters from the East club drove up to Austin for the Notre Dame football game, including Samantha Brunelle and others.

From the article on Sasha Goforth;

Prospectsnation.com rates Goforth the No. 12 prospect nationally in the 2020 class. While she's grown up in Arkansas, Goforth said she doesn't feel much pressure to stay in-state.

"My dad went to Texas and Stanford for his masters [degree]," she said. "My family isn't one of those all-out Razorback fans. If they're playing on TV or something we would be cheering, but we're not like all out crazy like, 'Go Hogs'."

Wherever she attends college, Goforth wants to have a good vibe with the coaches and players.

"I want to get along with everybody and I want it to be a nice area to live in," Goforth said.

Priscilla Williams has moved from Houston to Branson, MO. I haven't seen her associated with Texas before, but she has shot up the recruiting rankings. I believe she played for the Cy-Fair club, but the team with Queen Egbo, not the one with Charli, Sedona, Audrey, Deja, and Jaden Owens.

Deja with a couple of buckets to kick off her sophomore year. Pretty good quality video for a high school game. Deja finished with 28 of Johnson’s 53 in the win.

Watched Deja play a few games this weekend and she's an impressive talent. She's not on a very good team so she does a lot on her own. Curious to see how she handles teams that really focus on her and run double & triple teams at her late in the year. Will be really solid at the next level.
