Tiny girl gets the rebound and game winner.Just got back from the Allen-Sachse game. What a game ! Allen led most of the game ……….like 99% of the time. Up 2 after first. 2 at half. 6 after 3. Sachse caught em with 6.7 seconds left on a good shot and going up one. Allen threw it in with no time out and got a shot up that badly missed. Came off funny to an Allen player who threw it up and off the backboard at the buzzer. Allen by 1. Both are big time teams that really put on a show. You have to win one of those close ones to win it all. That may be Allen's one. Feel bad for Sachse as they just wouldn't give up. Should have won. Will be interesting who they get at Regionals. Getting to Regionals sometimes is harder than getting to it. We'll see.
It's not easy to beat a good team three times in one season... there are some exceptions to that rule (one in the Big 12 that I won't mention).Games of interest............South Grand Prairie beat Cedar Hill by 2. Kinda a surprise there, although SGP had beaten Duncanville earlier. DeSoto beat Skyline by 12. That is a little more than I thought. Prosper beat Plano by 3. That is a surprise as Plano had beaten Prosper twice in district play.
Would love to land her; but, took her a while to remember "Texas" after she had rattled off a bunch of schools quickly. So, won't get my hopes up just yet.
yeah, that was noticeable.Would love to land her; but, took her a while to remember "Texas" after she had rattled off a bunch of schools quickly. So, won't get my hopes up just yet.
One of the key players in the team’s success thus far is staring point guard Ashley Chevalier. A junior this season, Chevalier has really stepped up and emerged as the team’s floor leader and extension of the coach on the court.
She’s an elite playmaker with great court vision, but she is able to go out there and put points on the board if need be. She’s able to get into the lane and attack the rim as well as step out and shoot from distance….
When it comes time for her to choose a school, she doesn’t want to take the easy out.
“I want to go somewhere where the conference is tough,” Chevalier said. “I don’t want to go somewhere where I’m going to just step right in and be a starter, I want to be pushed, I want to be challenged. I want to go somewhere where I have to earn my spot, earn my due.”
Good story about Sierra Canyon with a number of quotes from Ashley Chevalier. I like what she says about the school she wants to go to.
Did we just get our point guard of the future??
Hook’em Baby!! Let’s go!!!
