2020 Recruiting - Football

....... We heard a lot of buzz around Georgia following Ringo’s visit there during the spring, and I expected some of that buzz to wear off after the visit. I checked with a source near Ringo who feels that the Dawgs have opened up a lead here, and Ringo clicked with a couple of their commits. Texas really needs to get the five-star cornerback on campus again to re-establish some position in this recruitment.

Rivals says Kelee Ringo will UOV to Austin in June.

It would be nice to secure a top RB by September that way we can move on to other positions. We have our QB and oline pretty much sown up now all we need is a few Wrs and a RB and we will be golden on offense.

We offered 202o RB and TCU-commit Dominic Richardson (6'0,205) from Oklahoma City Bishop McGuinness. He is originally from San Antonio and still has some family there.

We also made the top 10 for RB Jo’Quavious Marks (5'11,190) from Carver, GA (this follows on the heels of Georgia RB Kobe Pryor putting us in his top 10 a couple days ago)
Marks is the #135 overall, #12 RB per the 247 Comp

Jo'Quavious Marks to Mississippi State.

JF, several big time guys committing last few weeks.
Is this due to spring games and visits, signing day moved up?
In years past it has seemed to be a sprinkling through late spring, and summer before their senior season begins.
A penny for your thoughts...

5-star ILB Justin "Babyman" Flowe (6'2,225) from Calif --
“I like coach (Tom) Herman. “I really like him. He’s a good coach and I could see myself playing for him. They’ve been recruiting me really, really hard. They’ve really been on my tail recruiting me.”
Holland says --
Justin Flowe's tape is incredible, he tore it up at the opening. Will be a tough pull, he has some interest in Texas and will make a visit.
Justin Flowe, Upland, Inside Linebacker

LB Justin Flowe is supposed to visit late June. Probably the June 21 weekend too, but we will see.

..... Texas will get two chances this summer to make a move with elite safety prospect Lathan Ransom. Blair Angulo from 247Sports reported that Ransom scheduled an official visit for June 21st, and Ransom told me he will also be in for an unofficial visit on May 31st. The unofficial will run through June 3rd as Ransom spends time with family friends in the Austin area. Ransom used officials to Oklahoma and LSU, and he still has Notre Dame and Ohio State on the docket. Texas is on the outside here, but they have a chance to make up some ground during the summer......

Seems confirmed now that Ransom will UOV to Austin May 31, then OV June 14.

His last OV will be to tOSU June 21
