I would refer to Deez on the political strategies, but it seems that a black VP would certainly increase the black turnout

In fact I think he is going to set a Republican record in this regard

I think he'd be wise to have a black running mate, but I don't think Abrams would be a good one. DC liberals adore her, because she's good at making them feel guilty and therefore righteous. She's a good source of political pornography for them. However, I don't think she's going to be very appealing in the main swing states. To borrow Biden's verbiage, I don't think she's "clean, articulate, and nice looking."

I have so much respect for Black people who vote Republican. Not because they agree with me or because we hold similar beliefs, but because they are literally standing for what they believe in when the vast majority of Black people will look down on them and they will be the subject of social disdain.

It takes a very strong person to stand up for your beliefs when so many of the people you call "your people" are now against you. To me, it's like the stories of people living in Nazi Germany who had the balls to stand up against the Nazis.

It's more than just black people that will look down on them. It is a complete and total forfeiture of their standing with education, academia, media, and culture. You go from having the most politically potent grievance and preference to having no sympathy, and never getting the benefit of the doubt. Blacks will view you as a traitor, and guilty white liberals will feel completely free to treat you like ****.

I don't view it as similar to being part of the Nazi resistance. We don't have concentration camps with black conservatives in them. However, it is certainly the most courageous political stance one can take in the United States. I think it's easier to be a gay conservative than a black conservative.
 
I thought Joe Biden was THE CHOICE for blacks? It was Bernie that was going to have a problem getting them to vote for him.
