2019 Recruiting - Football

We see how the aggy coaches recruits as in Brewster's recent tweets. Some of the guys they are getting, while top at their position (in HS), either don't want to complete for "early playing time" since the class we just signed was top notch, or believe the trash talk out there, or they look at our records over the past 4 seasons and compare them to the other programs and have the perception those offer more challenging opponents, exposure, and shots in the playoffs. But, then who really knows how they think.

If Herman & Co. can win big this year I believe some of those guys will reconsider and might jump on board. We can't continue to post 7-6 type records and expect recruits to keep selecting us.

I think the down side of signing a huge class of elite talent at a position means that it will be harder to recruit that position the following year. Just part of the deal.

5-star DT Faatui Tuitele --

"I know I'll be going to [ou], Texas and LSU beginning on March 12. That's my spring break so I'll take of advantage of that whole week. Then in April, I'll visit Ohio State and Alabama back to back."

Huntsville defensive end T’Vondre Sweat (6'3, 249)
No. 49 SSDE in country and No. 84 overall in state, per 247Composite.
Sweat picked Texas over offers from Bama, Piggy, ou, Ole Miss, TCU, aggy +
