Sterns was four star at safety behind five star Foster, but apparently surpassed him in opinion of scouts during the playoffs.

Those 2 are teammates right now at St Louis Trinity Catholic. That school has several other top 50 in MO players as 2019s and more again among the 2020s, including Mookie who is #1 in state. So the odds he might be playing in college with one or more of his current teammates arent that bad.
This team is so loaded relative to the competition that a few schools on their schedule refused to play the game, they just forfeit and take the loss.

My guess is he got a little big for his britches and put himself first over his teammates - like skipping practice to visit schools or other recruiting perks. Coach had to set him straight and if so I bet Herman fully supported it.

My guess is that the coach told him to stop acting like a prima Donna and support your teammates. Admittedly I am mind reading on my part.
 
We once took a chance on a kid that got kicked off his HS team for similar actions. Nobody would touch the kid, except for one assistant, who convinced the HC to take a chance with a leftover scholarship.

I know it's a ridiculous example, but I would love to have another player taken with the first pick in the draft.

Wiltfong still thinks Higgins is going to Stanford.
Which might send us looking for another WR
 
We have Jake Smith and Jordan Whittington, I'm good with who ever else we get. In fact, I'm good if we don't take anyone else. The one exception is Bru McCoy, he is a true difference maker.
 
I think Higgins would be great for us. But we do have two really good WRs in the fold.

Still, two top WRs from Austin going out of state is a bummer.
 
Washington had earlier said he would announce on Nov 23 (Fri after Thanksgiving).
In addition, Andrew Ellis (tOSU guy) put in a CB today of Washington to Texas
We will see
