2019 Recruiting - Football

We are supposed to be in good shape with ATH Makiya Tongue (6'2,210) of Baton Rouge
Usually listed as OLB/WR
His dad Reggie played 10 seasons in the NFL at LB

Joe,

Please help m with this one. The kid was supposed to be talking and/or liking Ohio State, State Penn, Tech, a couple of SEC schools, and commits to Ole Miss? If Freese was still there, I wouldn't que$tion it,

Floyd is apparently helping us recruit 5-star ATH Bru McCoy of Mater Dei (Calif.). He is the #1 ATH in the country per 247Comp. Probably WR or LB.
From longshot to actual shot

If they are still playing games then it's a huge risk while under this scrutiny. If I were the school president, I might put electronic dog collars on every recruiter, then just occasionally shock them as a reminder.

and you would quickly find your football program uncompetitive in the Conference and at the bottom of the $EC in every sport.

I love 5-star skills that combine receiver skills with linebacker skills. I also like 5-star safety/running back combos.

Some CBs to Texas for DE/LB NaNa Osafo-Mensah (Fort Worth Nolan Catholic). ND has been considered the fav until recently. The Catholic thing and all. But he's a top student and wants to go to business school, so naturally ....
He has been to Austin on UOVs and should OV this Spring

Snippet from Holland on what he thinks of Hand as an OL recruiter

"... Herb Hand was an upgrade as a recruiter at the position. Every target I’ve talked to has said nothing but good things about him as a recruiter and a coach. I believe he has what it takes to land the elite of the elite at the position. And it’s showing early. Texas is the frontrunner for Tyler Johnson and is a top three school for the likes of Branson Bragg, Stacey Wilkins, Javonne Shepherd and Kenyon Green. Hand has reshaped the recruitments of Shepherd and Green and once he gets some 1-on-1 time with Bragg, I feel like the Longhorns will retake the momentum there. Hand is more than capable of bringing in an impressive haul this cycle...."

I will never be able to understand why any high ranked recruit would go to Ole Miss. (1)Honest evaluation tells you that your best hope is 3rd in conference, if you are not from Mississippi it is more or less mandatory to fly there (2) Unless you are an Ole Miss grad, very old or just an extremely hard core football fan... it has no winning tradition... (3)The one or two times that I was in Mississippi, I seen tons of magazine articles and information on the tide, but very little on Mississippi schools. (4) Although I know they exist...I have yet to meet the lifelong Ole Miss fan. Yet this school still manages to lure several high ranking Texas kids every year.
