2018 NCAA Regionals

Looks like there will be a winner take all game in the Oxford Regional.

Tenn Tech is up 15-5 on Ole Miss going in the bottom of the ninth.

Winner plays UT next weekend. Hoping Tennessee Tech can win so UT can host the Super.

Holy crap, Tn Tech up 15-5 bottom of 9th. Do we host super if Tech beats Ole Miss in the second game?

Georgia lost to Duke.

Georgia loses as well and has second game tonight with host spot on line for Lubbock if Duke can pull another upset. South Carolina and Mississippi State both win to advance to supers. OU loses after having two chances to advance meaning Big XII will just have 2 teams in second weekend and an overall record of 11-6 through 17 games.

Looking past SEC which is a ridiculous 25-6 with 5 teams already in supers and 3 more possible, the conference records in tournament for rest of power leagues shows strength of Big XII and that maybe Pac 12 should have gotten a little more respect from the committee.

Big XII 11-6 (5 teams; 2 to supers)
ACC 12-9 (6 teams; 1 to supers & 1 still possible to supers with 1 game still to play)
Pac 12 10-4 (4 teams; 2 to supers)
B1G 6-6 (4 teams; 1 to supers)

SEC had 10 teams so many more chances for wins and teams to qualify.

Duke takes two straight in Athens and will now face Tech in Lubbock. Meanwhile Ole Miss has taken 2-0 lead over Tenn Tech in sixth in the second championship game of that regional which will decide where and who Texas plays next.

Top national seed Florida loses to FAU and there will be a second championship game in that regional. Meanwhile Tenn Tech got the 2 runs back and its tied 2-2 in the seventh in Oxford.

FAU has jumped on top of Florida 2-0 in first inning but it will be long night in Gainesville. SEC is having really bad day at 2-5 thus far. Coming into day they were looking at 8 super regional teams which would have been a record now they can only tie previous record of 6.

How about the Horns and Cal-State Fullerton for the title — Augie would like that.

Narrows the CWS participants to:
* 3 for sure from the $EC (cool how ESPN nd the NCAA arranged this - probability is at least 1 $EC in the finals and something bigger than a chance of an all $EC final - which is a self fulling prophecy for ESPN).

* 2 Possible from the Big XII, Pac12, ACC and Non-Power 5

* 1 Possible from the Big 10
