(a) about time NASCAR realized they were the only people left using carbs. (b) McLaren is as good as anyone. (c) great to see Freescale getting into the act (first tenant for the USGP track?)

Yep...as accuratehorn already posted, the Bahrain GP has been pulled from the calendar for 2011 and may or may not be rescheduled for later on in the season. If I had to bet, I'd say "not".

In lieu of the Bahrain Test, there will be a final test at Barcelona.

GP2 Asia has also canceled their race there and will not be rescheduling.

In other news, "Senna" has been picked up by the SXSW Film Festival and will be screened here at the Paramount on 3/12 and 3/17.

See. You. There.

Here's the new Williams livery. It's aaiiight, but I still prefer the all blue interim livery they tested with. I wish teams wouldn't tease us by testing with liveries that are better than the ones they run for the season::

Here's an article re: Abu Dhabi possibly rescheduling to support a Bahrain reschedule:

There may be some support here for the idea that Bernie seems to like to split up the events that are concentrated in one part of the globe.

Take a look at the 2011 schedule. Europe, for example, is interrupted twice, first by Canada, and then by the August holiday. There are two Asian flyaways as well as two to Arab nations. Likewise, Canada and Brazil are separated on the schedule when they could easily be paired. Follow the schedule on the map. look at how it skips around. I have believed that this may be by design as sort of a way to prevent overexposure of sorts. With this in mind, I could see Canada staying as is, and our race being paired with Brazil. The following quotes from this article re: rescheduling Bahrain seem to support that theory:

Splitting up the races among regions is a response to concern that one race would siphon away from another race in a given region. Specifically, Malaysia doesn't want to be grouped with Singapore.

While there might be some reason for concern, how long were the races basically all in Europe where if one had the funds and time, multiple races were attendable in any given season?

Mercedes has finalized the purchase of the minority shares in the F1 team. Brawn gets even more money and is now set-up to get the team for nothing again when Mercedes throws in the towel.

Looks like Pirelli isn't going to put up with crap from the drivers: Link

At times F1 drivers act more like professional golfers when faced with a hard course - criticize the course not your ability to play the course.
